No.1 Best Ever Sketchbook
Everything I ever wanted in a sketchbook. Function, beauty, numbered pages, quality off-white paper, ribbon page markers and a pocket flap. The alternating grid pages are perfect for sketching lettering concepts, diagrams etc. and I use the blanks for idea generation and illustration. Also, anyone who knows their papers or uses a fountain pen will appreciate the weight and tooth. It's very nice and doesn't bleed through.

I love this note book
I love this note book. Overall, nice form and functionality. If I were being very critical, the ink absorption on the paper could be cleaner, there's sometimes blotting. Great for people who work in design and art direction.

Best books for design use
I'm an avid note taker and work professionally as a designer. These books are the perfect size, the pages are a great weight and I like that every 3 pages there are some square ruled pages. The reference guides are great to have. The 3 book marks are very helpful. Overall, my go to book for work stuff.

Fantastic little book!! My Sancho Panza goes everywhere with me π
This is my current go to! Love the graph / blank page combo. I am somewhat of an artist/computer geek so the option to have either paper is outstanding. I need to see if they have one that is spiral bound as I tend to carry the open book around most of the time, in turn bending the pages.Great quality! I would buy again and highly recommend !!

Cool product, slightly damaged tho
Really cool product! However, there were some dents in the cover, front and back, when I received it. Was kinda annoying.

I love that there are page numbers
I own so many notebooks and journals; Magma Sketchbook (Design & Art Direction edition) is one of my new favorites. I love that there are page numbers. I love that there's a calendar list - Jan-December, with dates running down columns, opening the journal; I use it to track whether I've written on a day or not. (Trying to write every day.)The cover dirties a little easily compared to other journals, and it doesn't feel as hardy as say, the Moleskine, but it's still a good journal. A larger size than your average journal, about on par with a smaller composition notebook. Like other reviewers have mentioned, there are some nice "surprises" inside -- these index pages that serve as a useful and quick references.

Love this sketchbook!
Love this sketchbook. I like the different page layouts and especially the elastic to keep it closed. Pliable and easy to draw and write.

does not open flat, has graph pages and (5 times more) blank pages
I like it, in general. I like the paper quality β enough for pencils and ball-point pen, not as good for ink pens or liners.I like that it features graph paper pages and blank pages. But the ratio 1 to 5 do not work well for me. I write on the graph pages and sketch the ideas on blank ones, just need 1 to 3 blank pages for that. So ratio 1 to 3 would be nicer for me. Thatβs just a personal preference. Also a minor issue β it does not open flat, the binding does not allow that.
