Other notable and cool features are the 8 io ports
Very rugged and well-thought-out design. Software on it is okay, but buggy. PTZ support definitely needs to be improved. Customer service, however is exemplary. Offers ftp support, which most do not, but it can flake out at times. Other notable and cool features are the 8 io ports. The people that designed this product were really thinking ahead and wanting to provide lots of options.I cannot help thinking that with a little tlc on the software and interface, this could be a shining star for encoders. Axis has got a wonderful support team, so anyone looking at this can rest assured it will be supported.

Good product. Axis is a good company.
I disassembled the product and embedded its guts in a larger system. Works very well.
