Would recommend for any student...
Well laid out and easy to work with. I also love the fact, all though great to work with the science book, you can work without it. Enjoyable, as it makes it easy to really go any way you need to. I'm using it as a nice intro for the summer, and to help my daughter get more science in 2nd grade. Sadly her school lacks in these areas, or can only go over things briefly, (more politics of that school), hence why after 2nd I'm homeschooling, and these books also work great for that. Easy to understand, great instruction for student and teacher alike.

Great workbook to pair with the Science textbook
We recently started homeschooling my son this year, and like most parents, I searched around to find a curriculum that would work for my son. This workbook is very well put together and helps him to review the material that we just read about. It's very easy to use and the questions are well written and easy for him to understand. If you're purchasing the science textbook, then I would definitely recommend you purchase the workbook too. Unless you like writing your own questions. =)

Great book for teaching kids about science
I was horrified to find out that my neices school had cut science from the curriculum. So I bought this for her along with the workbook. Together they are a fun way to learn about science. The activities make her think about things and teach her about new concepts. I like that national geographics helped make it.

Doesn't quite match up to textbook
I bought this workbook along with the McGraw Hill Science Grade 2 textbook. They both have a picture of a frog on the front, and Amazon sells them together. Although, they have much of the same content, the workbook does not match up quite right with the textbook. The workbook lists the pages that are supposed to match up with the textbook on each worksheet, but the page numbers are a little off. If you are willing to match up what your child is doing with the actual subject on each worksheet, then you will be okay. The workbook is NOT put out by McGraw Hill, so maybe that's why there is a discrepancy in page numbers.

My go to choice for homescholing
Scott Foresman books and work books are always a go to choice for my homeschooling social studies and science. The literature is always on level, interesting, filled with great pictures, and unit projects. My students can read independently and comprehend. I really appreciate these books.

Teacher fav.
This book has been a great supplement to use with our Science lessons. The kids love the workbook pages because they are easy to read and understand.....and short.

Use this every day too
This workbook is a great complement to the textbook. The pictures are large enough for students to want to learn information in order to color them!
