Overall good
I recently purchased the Sinocare Safe-Accu 2, and here's my take. First off, the readability of the results is excellent. The display is clear and easy to read, even without my glasses. It's also quite portable and fits easily in a bag, making it convenient for on-the-go testing. The blood sugar level readings seem accurate, matching up with readings from my doctor's equipment. While I wouldn't say there's any noticeable pain level, the lancets are relatively gentle. The overall fit of the meter in my hand is comfortable, and the design is user-friendly. The storage capacity is decent for tracking my readings over time. Overall, it's a solid choice for anyone needing a reliable and easy-to-use blood glucose meter.

Good quality blood sugar testing unit.
After about 65 years of being able to eat what I want, my doctor's practice diagnosed me with having type 2 diabetes. As I was not exhibiting any of the usual signs of diabetes, and being a pain in the ar*se as far as medical matters are concerned - mainly as I was already trying to manage 2 diametrically opposite diets and the diabetes diet would have reduced my allowed foodstuffs to unleavened bread and water (a damaged pancreas and having had several heart attacks will do that to your dietary allowances so, I bought this unit to check my blood sugar levels independently. I used the unit twice a week over 6 months, including over Christmas 2024, and kept a record that showed that my blood sugar level never moved outside of the normal, healthy range during the entire period. I presented that record to my GP's practice, basically they shrugged and said that the figures that they'd used must have been outliers and removed me from the diabetes list. The unit is easy to use, it's intuitive and once you have the order of doing things off pat, it's very quick to complete a blood sugar reading. The unit saved me from having to needlessly follow a diet that would have been of no benefit to me and probably saved the public purse the cost of unneeded medications. Worth every penny.

Excellent customer service .
Had this meter for 3 weeks and it worked perfectly until today. Everything was displaying but it wouldn’t read the blood sample. I emailed Sinocare and they responded within an hour. They suggested I check how I was taking the sample and sent a detailed photograph. I tried it again and it worked perfectly. I have never received such a prompt response from any email to customer services, I am so impressed. It’s when things go wrong that customers need good customer services to step in. It gives me confidence in their product , which is an amazing device for its’ cost. Highly recommended.

Used the strips that accompanied the machine to start with initially. Didn't have any issue really. The strips in the machine have one of the longest countdowns of 10 seconds to read. They tend to need the smallest amount of blood and unlike others they don't sit tight in the machine and some of these things may answer why results can vary drastically at times. This is additional to the below major issues with a recent batch. After using the replacements (reviewing them here) I was beginning to notice my sugar results pretty erratic and unreasonable. Just to give you an example out of two pots of strips we had five strips that gave a unrealistic high reading or a reading that was so low the patient would be in a coma or even dead. Considering that the person carrying out the test was the patient it is safe to assume the strips were very wrong. My doctor suggested I try my previous machine with validated strips and test both machines and both their strips from the same puncture site. The readings were significantly different so we repeated the experiment again and although numbers were realistic somewhat they didn't match my previous machine and its strips despite using exactly the same site for the test. This could be forgiven as a one off but this item stops being attractive because of its price once we have to keep buying them because it's a lottery to find a strip that produces an accurate result. Anyone using this machine and/or these strips I would suggest you read more than once when you first open a bottle of strips. I don't have a condition that requires regular glucose testing everyday however, I do need to test when requested to do so by my doctor for some time. If you use it like I do, it really is worth repeating the test after 15mins or so. For everybody else unless symptomatic you may wish to just keep an eye on what your numbers are doing as time goes on or even consider increasing testing when you first open a new bottle. Amazon seem to have taken the feedback serious enough to refund. And understandably we have lost faith in this product as it stands and have reverted back to my previous machine that seems to give off results that deliver numbers that appear realistic to the situation. All 4 new bottles have issues with 3 having major errors when selecting first strips. 1.5 is just ridiculous and to have it repeated three times around same number - scary but wrong. Then to find a reading of 10.3 but confirm that it's wrong by using a different make a model of machine and strip, wrong by 5 points is also concerning. 5 points could decide if someone uses more or less medicine or has a snack. I can see these strips are popular and I had no issue with the strips that came with device. It's just these replacements. But, still maybe worth a try as any errors you notice just contact Amazon, requesting call is best, and I'm sure you'll find them helpful. The manufacturer want a reliable product and it's very popular incl machine. They just need beef up quality control.
