Awesome!
I've been intrigued by "class T" (class D) amplifiers after reading several online articles and reviews. George Denver's review, above, convinced me to pull the trigger on this amplifier. In a word, the Topping TP60 is AWESOME.What first struck me when I took the TP60 out of the box is its heft. It's very compact compared to typical amplifiers; it's only 11.375" x 6.625" x 3.375", but it weighs 11 pounds. It's also very solid, with a very nice brushed aluminum enclosure. Interestingly, there is no heat sink (fins) or vents on the enclosure, and no cooling fan. This is likely because class D amplifiers are highly efficient and don't generate excess heat (or use a lot of electricity). The TP60 is elegant in it's simplicity. The front of the unit consists of a power button, a volume control knob, and a source selector button. The power button lights up blue or green depending on which audio source has been selected (it flashes red if there's a problem). The back of the unit has two pair of RCA inputs for two audio sources, five-way binding posts for a pair of speakers, and a power input for the power cord. (The User's Manual is interesting. It's tiny and written in Chinese and English. The English instructions are a little choppy - presumably written by someone who has a stronger command of Chinese than English - but they are nonetheless easy to understand. I can't comment on the Chinese instructions.)I originally purchased this amplifier with the intention of using it to power some inexpensive outdoor speakers. However, after testing it on a dedicated stereo set-up in the living room, my plan changed.I have a pair of relatively new Klipsch RB-51 II Reference Series II Bookshelf Loudspeakers on Vantage Point SSB-30BB Adjustable Bookshelf Series Speaker Stands , also purchase from Amazon. The speakers are (were) powered by an old (roughly 30 years old) NAD receiver. I have an Onkyo C-S5VL C-S5VL Super Audio CD/CD Player , another Amazon purchase, hooked up to the receiver. (I'd classify the Onkyo CD/SACD player as a reasonably priced, audiophile-quality unit.)The Topping amplifier blew the NAD receiver away. (In defense of the NAD unit, it is 30 years old, and it still works like a gem.) I've heard amplifiers described in a manner similar to oenophiles describing a bottle of wine, and I've been sceptical. I just didn't think there could be that big a difference between amplifiers. However, the TP60 changed my mind. The best way I can describe the Topping compared to the NAD is that the sound is richer and "warmer" (I realize this may sound strange). Listening to music through the NAD for a while got tiremsome or fatiguing. I don't get this with the Topping. This was definately a great purchase. However, I still need to power the outdoor speakers. Maybe the old NAD...

Great Amplifier! Defective after 3 weeks
I just bought this after dealing with a series of defective Dayton Audio DTA-100a amplifiers. This one is over twice as much, but it WORKS! No poping or hissing or other artifacts and the sound that comes out is excellent. I use it primarily for my computer speakers (Sony SS-B1000s).The only thing is that while it may be mini compared to a rack mounted amp, it is by no means small. And it definitely has some heft, I'd say it is at least 10-20 lbs. Everything about it screams quality though. Highly recommended if you want something that works well and produces good sound.** Edit **3 weeks later it wont turn on. What is it with amplifiers and quality control issues...

I really wanted to like this product
I really wanted to like this product. On paper it sounded like a perfect fit for my needs, a compact yet fairly powerful amplifier. Unfortunately, product quality plays a role, too, and build quality leaves a lot to be desired. The first one played for about 3 hours before the input channels locked up and it never worked again. The second one played for an hour, emitted a loud pop and quit. On the next try it played for half an hour before the loud popping sound, then for 5 to 10 minutes at a time. The sound, when it was working, was quite good, but I decided not to go for a 3d try.

Buy at your own risk
I have a PC I built and a Corsair keyboard with a USB hub in it. I plugged my JDS Labs O2/ODAC Rev B combo into it then with RCAs out to a speaker amp. ZERO issues or noise. It was like this for 2 different amps I owned.I get the Topping TP60 and just unplug the existing amp and plug in the TP60 and I get a high pitch whine. Not affected by volume at all it just whines. I disconnect the USB from the back of the O2/ODAC and it goes away. Plugged it back in, noise is back. I tried this with multiple USB cables and even ones with ferrite cores and I get the same resultsI move the USB cable from the back of the keyboard to the USB ports on the front of my case and its better but I can still hear the noise. Once I play music its not as noticeable....I tried contacting Topping in hopes they can help me pinpoint the issue but their crappy customer service told me I have to deal with the seller, You would figure the manufacture of the product would support their product and brand better.

Dissapointing
After reading reviews I expected better sound quality from this amplifier - not reference, but decent enough. I wanted to use it with Topping DX3 Pro DAC and my bookshelf speakers for background music in order to avoid using expensive hi end gear for this purpose. But I found performance of this amplifier (unlike the one of the DAC) too poor for quality music recordings. Especially on high volume. It is acceptable just for non musical recordings or streaming. For the price there are much better choices including classic AB type amplifiers of famous brands.

Incredible sound.
Overpriced on Amazon. But it's a great product. One of the best non-tube amps I have ever heard. It's a solid unit very well constructed.. almost "brick" like. But no big charging block needed which some other "small" units have.
