CHH Vinyl with Ripes Backagammon Set, Brown, 11"

My parents have a real leather backgammon board that I fondly remember my entire life playing games with. This one looks exactly like it, but with fake leather. I was very pleased with this as a gift I bought for my friend. It's good quality, it arrived on time, and the smaller size is good for traveling. The larger size will be more comfortable for table play. The only negative thing is that when I opened the box the first time to gift wrap it, the fake leather has a horrible smell. So I let it air out over night before I gift wrapped it. That seemed to help the gross, plastic like smell to go away.

Game is nice. Quality is good so I see us having this for many years. Instructions are terrible. I haven't played since I was a kid so I couldn't remember the rules. I was trying to teach myself and my 10yo with the instructions and was horribly confused. I'll be looking online for better instructions or an instructional video.

You can play backgammon with it, but design is not very well thought out. Worst problem is that the latches are too long for the entire game to sit flat with them folded against the side. You either need to try and balance them halfway or leave them pointed up where you're likely to hit them with your hand while moving your pieces. Slot for the pieces is too loose and there's not enough room in the middle compartment for all four dice and the doubling cube. Finally, who the heck prints instructions in orange ink on white paper?! Practically unreadable. Not that I need to, but still, someone might.

ok... this game is kind of a small version of what I was thinking... maybe I should have looked at the dimensions before I got it ... but that's my fault... the chips are small and the dice are small... but other then that... this game is exactly the way I expected it and is a great set

smaller than I expected, but then I will admit I paid absolutely no attention to the dimensions when I ordered it. I kept it because otherwise it is perfect!

The product looks exactly like the photos. Keep in mind that this is a bit of a scaled down set meant for traveling. Even the dice are a little smaller than standard dice but it is perfect for taking on a trip and won't take a lot of room in your car. There is no reason this shouldn't do well for anyone needing a good backgammon set at a good price.

Even though I read the measurements, it still seems smaller than I expected. The quality just isn't there for the price. I was trying to buy for a Christmas present and this was the most reasonable one I could find due to the inflated prices on backgammon games. I feel since Covid, manufacters have jacked prices on products which trickles down to suppliers then to consumers.

I like the size, easy to travel

It's a nice little set. And yes it says 11 inches in the description, but I did not notice that before ordering (measure that out, so you'll have a clear idea. ) It's small and compact if that's what you're looking for, good for travelling, putting in a backpack, etc. It arrived quickly, though a bit overpriced, in my view.

This was a gift I gave my husband and he loved it. It is a little too big for travelling but since it is a suitcase , it is still good if you want to take it with you.Really happy with the purchase
