i own a 1994 Lund Rebel and I was concerned that 1) the gunnel extended way past the Aluminum side so the curvature of the clamp needed to grab the gunnel. 2) there is a 1/2" aluminum flange where the gunnel is riveted to the side. I thought I might have to add a piece underneath that so the clamp screws had something smooth to push against. If you look at my second picture there is a little wobble built into the circular "foot" and it let me tighten these down without shimming under that seam. I don't know if the single clamp model would be so solid so I am ordering two more of these. they are on the expensive side but they are American made and built to last a lifetime. They also kept me from having to drill my boat.

Have not used this one yet but have used this same model for over 25 trips to Canada. This one is EXACTLY like the other ones I own and is used by my fellow fishermen on our Canadian fishing trips. We use them mostly when trolling for pike and walleye. Sturdy and easy to use, have never seen one fail. This one was a gift for my son for our upcoming trip.

Down East Salty 10 is the big boy rod holder. With two attaching screws, this holder will not move for freshwater fish. Have several single screw Down East units and they work very good. Thought I had ordered a single screw unit but got the double screw unit. Used last fall for trolling for musky and hooked a couple in the rod holder.....worked prefect.

absolutely the best rod holder I have ever used. Clamps down tight and holds firm. Free to set it up and let it do its job of holding my rod in place on the docks and piers that I fish. Will be getting a couple of more of them very soon.

These are definitely the best rod holders on the market. Both my buddy and I use them when trolling for musky and we've never had a problem with them. They are super strong and durable. They are a little pricey, but definitely the best on the market.
