An excellent product. I use this gel cleaner in several ways. 1st-- after I clean the record with a fluid I designed myself (using Baby Wash), I flush the record off completely using purified water.. let the record dry for several hours.. then use this cleaning get pad by being careful to only stroke it on the record in a straight line. If you try to turn the gel pad around the curvature of the record, it will leave some of the gel on the record surface.. some records with deep groves are more sensitive in picking up some of the Gel coating... As long as the record is completely dry and you use the pad in a straight line, it wont leave any Gel residue on the record. This Gel pad works so well to remove any dust or lint, I use it each time before playing any record. Keeping several spare Gel pads handy. You not only have to be certain your record is bone dry, the gel pad itself has to also be bone dry... or else it will leave gel residue on the record surface.. So if you are careful about what your doing, these gel cleaning pad are the best product for keeping your cartridge stylus in like new condition :-) Super excellent product !!

Does a nice job but causes a lot of static electricity. I bought a nice anti static brush and all is well now.

This record cleaner (cleans other stuff as well), is good for superficial cleaning, it picks all the particles you see on the record surface. Apply gentle, if pressed hard while rolling some residues settle on the record making some kind of "his has" noise, which is washable but it is better to avoid it. Very Recommended.

THIS ITEM IS AWESOME FOR MY ROCK AND HEAVY METAL RECORDS. I LISTEN TO MY MUSIC ALL NIGHT AND WHAT BETTER WAY TO CLEAN MY RECORDS FAST AND EFFECTIVELY. THIS IS A BEAUTIFUL INVENTION AND NOT SOME CHEAP GIMMICK. CLEANING RECORDS CAN BE GIGANTIC PAIN AND FRUSTRATING. THE IN THE GROOVE RECORD CLEANER MAKES CLEANING MY RECORDS SO MUCH EASIER AND TAKES AWAY THE PAIN AND FRUSTRATIONS. DUST IS A REALLY BIG PROBLEM WHERE I LIVE SO THOSE EXPENSIVE $1,000 PLUS MACHINES WOULD NOT BE EFFECTIVE. THIS ITEM IS A TRUE BLESSING FOR ANY RECORD COLLECTOR. THANK YOU SKT

I found that using this caused damange to my records - leaving behind a residue that causes audio distortion.

Worked well, would have been better if I had a more powerful turn table.

Glad that the refills for In The Groove are still available here. This is a great way to remove dust hair and pet that is pesky to remove when you dry clean lps with just a carbon fibre brush or after deep cleaning with wet solutions. The roller heads last a long time and cleaning it is as simple as rinsing the roller with tap water or distilled water.

Big fan on this. 1st one lasted over a year. Easy to clean - rinse lightly with warm water and a drop of dish soap, let dry, good as new. Can create static though. I recommend slowly rolling in one direction, not back and forth.
