The Neutragena Body Oil - Light Sesame Formula arrived intact in the packaging shown in the Ad on Amazon.
I received my 2 bottles of Neutragena Body Oil -Light Sesame Formula in the packaging that was shown in the ad on the amazon.com web site. I mention this because I read in many reviews they got theirs not in the original packaging, but in zip lock bags. And they said their bottles had leaked (even if in ziplock bags). My shipment arrived in the original packaging with the cellophane intact and no leakage. Of course it could be that others had ordered their via ground shipment where long miles in the back of a truck vibrated the lids off the bottles and it could be that If they were sold out of the items in the packaging shown online and they substituted individual bottles on some orders. Without the packaging to hold those lids in place If they didn't tighten them and tape them individually in place before putting them in bags, it is VERY likely that vibration rattled those lids off. However I'm trying out the Amazon Prime service and it only took 2 days for the order to arrive. I took the precaution of only ordering another body lotion product with this so in case it did leak, it wouldn't be with anything that it could hurt, although they would replace the products that were damaged, we all like it better when nothing goes wrong. In this case, nothing went wrong, everything arrived intact and no hint of leaking. Even the lotion which was sold in 2's was packaged in a plastic bag heat sealed so it held the bottles tightly in place and since they were pump lids which had not been unlocked they too were held in place and the did not leak either. They were 2 8.5 oz Neutragena Body Lotion Light Sesame Formula also. Now I read in many surveys how some of the people disliked to detested the scent of the product. This is something that is EXCEEDINGLY subjective and has NOTHING to do with the quality of the product. It is the same product that I've bought before locally. So before someone orders a product with a scent, they should first be sure they are familiar with said scent and if they like it before they order it if at all possible. For the most part I do not like care for scented products. However there is an unscented version of this product. Not necessarily in THIS particular packaging from this provider, but I have seen an unscented version. I just happen to like this particular scent. There are very few of them I do, but as many have stated in their reviews that they cannot stand it. Others LOVE it. Undoubtedly there are some who don't really have strong feelings about it either way. However, that's not the point. The point is.. is the product as advertised on amazon.com when ordered. it was. Did it arrive properly packaged and in a timely manner: It was and did. It was as represented in every way. It arrived quickly and undamaged, not leaking, and I'll order it again. It is NOT a "moisturizer" as nothing is. It only serves to help the body to either reinforce the natural oils our body produces to protect the skin as well as slow down moisture loss through the skin by providing a skin protecting and conditioning coating, or replace it should we in our overzealous bathing habits have scrubbed off the natural coating. These oils just help to prevent moisture loss through the skin. No amount of slathering of oils or pouring lotions or waters onto the skin will ADD moisture from the skin. However drinking adequate amounts of water on a regular basis and if we are larger than the average person we need to drink more than those suggested 8 - 12 oz glasses of water a day. Up to a point. After 250 to 280 you can drink TOO much water If you follow the guideline of half as much water in oz as pounds in body weight, can cause water poisoning if we drink a gallon of water a day. Half a gallon is probably adequate, but check with your physician about what He or She feels is both the adequate amount to hydrate someone of your body weight as well as amount adjusted should you have reduced kidney function. Otherwise there ARE no Hard and Fast rules. But generally speaking if you are adequately hydrated, do not have skin diseases to affect the loss of moisture or the speed of skin growth which causes excess skin cell thickness/dryness or loss, and if you do not bathe so often as to deplete the oils in the skin, we wouldn't need these products. However given the general tendency to bathe more often than the skin can produce more oil to protect the skin, then we do need to augment them. Given I have several issues that can lead to dry itchy skin, and I'm prone to forgetting to drink the stockpile of water I keep next to the bed, I need the body oil, aquaphor, and lotions to keep what moisture I have INSIDE my body rather than evaporating through dried out cracked hide that is forced to do its best impression of leather if I don't oil it.So do not look to this product to solve a dry skin issue by merely using it. you will be disappointed and then try to say it's the products defect. Drink more water to start with given you have no health issue precluding it.. again check with your doctor. Then if you're showering two or three times a day, unless there is some medically or job requirement forcing you to do so, or there's some obsessive issue, the try cutting back to every other day, or once a day at most and don't use harsh soaps. Apply the body oil in the bath water, or after the bath or shower. Bathe or shower in tepid water, NOT HOT. If you have extreme dry skin, I suggest a product called Aquaphor, it can be used full strength, or as an emulsion, shaken with warm water to turn it into a white crème. I suggest distilled water warmed in the microwave and maybe 2 parts water to 1 part aquaphor. If it doesn't hold all the water in the emulsion and all the aquaphor has been turned into a white crème (no lumps of full strength aquaphor in the crème) then add a bit more aquaphor to the mix and shake some more or add more warm water.. just a little.. and more aquaphor lots more to take up the extra water. You could heat it all to soften it a bit in the micro, if you overheat it.. it will separate and if that happens pour off the water, let the aquaphor solidify and then stir it up and then try it again with less water this time. Best just be conservative with how much water you use until you're sure how much it will hold. But the process is still the same.. use a baby food jar or other small jar with a tight lid. Put some aquaphor in there add some warm water, put on the lid and tighten, and then shake it up as hard for as long as you can until you notice it's not moving anymore and it's turned white. Use that cream liberally on the driest areas, like feet and hands, knees, elbows, anywhere you have dry patches. Or cracked skin, if it's open talk to your doctor. I had a friend who worked handling boxes all day long which sucked the oils out of his hands so badly they had cracked open and were bleeding. I told him to soak his hands, cut off the thickest parts of the callous along the cracks and slather his hands with the cream, repeat the applications and keep them well coated. If he could stand it, put white socks or white cotton gloves on his hands to sleep at night. He couldn't do that. If he could they would have healed up faster, but healed up they did! They healed and softened and as long as he uses that crème now, they don't re-crack. Every now and then he comes and begs me to give him some more because he's neglected them and they've started to crack again. He has very much become a convert. He is very concerned about what he puts on his hands as he was worried it would be greasy, but although it looks like heavy petrolatum aka Vaseline almost when full strength, if you don't use too much, and not wipe it off, it will not be greasy. I put it on just enough to coat them well, wipe off any excess on a clean white cloth like an old t shirt rag, flour sack dish towel that has been well used etc. even a piece of cloth like paper towel, to remove the excess and then it is fine, I can pick up a clear glass and leave no greasy residue or greasy fingerprints. I handle paper, and get dressed and do not leave greasy spots on that either. But I've found since I've started using the body oil I don't have to use as much aquaphor. I love the product the scent and I use it after I show, likely a bit too much trying to get it on my back. Then I air dry as much as I can. I put some flour sack dish towels or a towel over the chair I sit on to keep the excess off the furniture. Then since I am usually going to bed, I put on my night shirt and be done with it. If I greased up my head a bit too much I toss a dish cloth or towel over my pillows.Someone complained about this product ruining sheets because he'd used it as a massage oil and not wiping it off. IT IS NOT A MASSAGE OIL PEOPLE and should not be used as such! It's not supposed to be used on dry skin.. it's supposed to be applied on WET SKIN after a bath or shower like water still beaded on your skin, apply the oil lightly and then rub it quickly around as fast as you can and add more as you move over the wet skin. it will form an emulsion layer over your skin as it mixes with the beads of water preventing that thick oil layer, and it is that light layer of oil mixed as an emulsion over the skin that helps replace the body's natural layer of oil without being too heavy. So long as you don't do as I have done since I don't have the mobility I used to have when I could actually put one hand over my shoulder and fold the other arm behind me upward to grab the other hand behind me .. when I could do that I could move my oiled arms over my back and hands around over my back so I could form that emulsion over my back. however now I have bone spurs in my shoulders and just in general cannot bend my arms back up there and no one else is here to do it for me.. so I have tried some lotion applicators etc. but they are not made for oil and so I get a bit too much OIL on my shoulders and such, which is why I put the dish cloths over my chair. I could also use a towel and wipe it off, but I have the night shirt that can soak up some excess and it doesn't damage them and if it did I don't care as I would rather have the little bit too much oil than not enough on my shoulders and back. As such maybe my back won't be so itchy. This is part of the subjective parts of product use. Each of us have different living situations and needs and likes and something will work the way you would like it to work or it won't. As such you just have to decide for yourself.I've gotten a bit carried away here again. I'm a motor mouth. Hopefully something I've had to say may help someone.

I cannot believe how much I love this product!
All aspects (well, almost ll) of the product...This was recommended to me by my nephrologist as a treatment for the extremely dry skin developed as a side effect of light ray treatment being administered by my dermatologist. Of all the products attempted, this gave me the most long lasting relief from my severe itching. This was what I most sought from the product. The sheerness (as compared with the gels and lotions (both prescription and OTC) recommended by the dermatolgist, was a lovely surprise, as was the scent (delightful as compared with the gels, lotions and JoJoba Oil I had attempted). The only possible complaint I had was with the packaging. The bottle needs be textured! Oily Hands + Smooth Bottle = A Great Deal of Slippage. That said, the product itself is WONDERFUL! Smells lovely, is way cheaper than products prescribed by physicians, and really relieves the itching. I am very hopeful with further use, the evtreme dryness will resolve.

Light, luxurious, very lightly scented and it doesn't come off on your clothing
Well - I've already said it all. The scent is very light - not at all irritating or floral or noxious. A little oil goes a long way. Would probably make a good massage oil. It's nice in Summer or Winter for dry skin. Never have I noticed it staining clothing. It stays on my skin for hours. Very nice stuff.

New obsession
Followed suggestions in other reviews and applied right after shower before toweling off when I'm still a little damp then throw on a terry robe while I finish getting ready. Soaks in quickly, no greasy residue, perfect amount of moisture, skin feels like silk. My husband loves the fragrance. It scents the whole room when I use it, but it fades quickly so it's faint by the time you're dressed and gone entirely in a couple hours. A bit too feminine smelling for men though, I would think. Kicking my favorite lotion to the curb. The packaging was exactly as pictured, but one of the bottle caps had almost twisted off - probably just gradually shaken loose from handling. Mine didn't leak, but I could see how it easily could have leaked with more handling. I would order from this seller again because it's a good deal, but you might want to be careful what you have it shipped with.

Light Moisturizing
This oil is perfect for massage or right after shower or bath. Allow your skin to be lightly moist and apply this oil all over. It is light, hard working, and if used consistently will give you a soft healthy feel to your skin. It is especially good for heels and elbows which tend to feel rough. A light application on the face is also worthwhile for a soft wrinkle camouflage.

Best after-shower body oil!
I have been using Neutrogena Body Oil Light Sesame Formula Sesame Oil for years and I know it works because I'm still getting compliments on my soft skin - especially from my granddaughters! It's light and easy to apply and has a beautiful fragrance. Just make sure you are getting the original oil and not a knock-off. I have tried others, but there are none that compare to Neutrogena (Equate comes close). The price of these is really the reason I bought them because they are so much more when you buy them individually in a store ...

I really like this product
This body oil is great. Helps my really dry skin when it acts up from psoriasis. I would like it to have a little bit stronger scent but other than that it is a great product.
