I've used all of the items except the strainer and uncapping tool, since I haven't harvested any honey as of yet. Most of the items were as expected. The brush has come in handy to move the bees away while getting in the hive and it's handle is tapered at the end so can be used to move the frames if needed. The smoker works as expected. My only complaint is there is no instruction to pry the prongs on the tray at the bottom of the smoker, to raise it off the bottom of the fuel chamber. The entrance feeder seemed a little cheap and didn't seem sufficient for the job. I ended up buying a mason jar entrance feeder. The frame grip worked great and made it easier to handle the frames. The J-Hook works great for moving, prying and scraping. Even though I haven't used the strainer yet, it's obvious it is sturdy and will do the job when needed. I can't vouch for the usefulness and soundness of the uncapping tool.

So far - ok. The honey strainer came bent, due to the packing "style", box was too small and seller had to jam it in. all others - time will show.

I have been using this kit for a few months now. It has lived up to my expectations and has more than serves its purpose for regular hive maintenance as well as throughout harvesting. Would recommend.
