This is hands-down the best cinnamon I’ve ever used! The purity of the Ceylon is immediately evident; it lacks that harsh, spicy bite of common cassia and instead offers a sophisticated, delicate sweetness. Both the taste and smell are incredible, adding a warm, aromatic depth to my morning coffee and oatmeal. It's rare to find a product that feels this high-quality and authentic.

Ceylon Cinnamon is the "real" cinnamon and contains compounds that have proven health benefits for diabetics and others. Common Cinnamon is a different, more common variety and is usually what you find in the supermarket. It has much lower concentrations of the beneficial compounds and a high level of others that can be problematic. Cinnamon is an essential ingredient in my 6-cup-a-day coffee addiction. I decided to switch to the Ceylon variety after extensive research into its medical benefits. Outside of the medical, here are the differences: 1. It has a different taste. Not as strong and a bit dry. Less flavorful. 2. It has a much finer grind than the common cinnamon I am used to and is dustier. 3. It is harder to find and more expensive. It is reasonable in bulk. 4. I am getting used to it, and I believe that it is very beneficial to switch if you are a regular user.

PURCHASED FOR FLAVORING DRINKS AND ICE CREAM. NOT AS MUCH CINNAMON FLAVOR AS I EXPECTED SO IN SOME RECIPES, I INCREASE THE AMOUNT. I AM ACCUSTOMED TO THE CASSIA CINNAMON VARIETY. THE CEYLON CINNAMON MIXES WELL AND AFTER INCREASING THE AMOUNT IN MY RECIPES THE FLAVOR IS GOOD.

Adding this to my smoothies in the morning! Good product.

This is great cinnamon but I feel I should leave a note for those who have never bought cinnamon before: It’s basically bark and shreds when it’s wet so you can’t put this straight into some hot water and get cinnamon tea if you’re planning to use it that way. Probably everyone except for me knows that but in case someone else doesn’t, there is my note about it.

I use a small amount Ceylon cinnamon sprinkled over oatmeal for breakfast almost every day. I was about to reorder Naturevibe (silver package) until I read the negative (1's and 2's) reviews noting contaminants, poor grinding and even foul odors in the packages. That sounded very unsafe, so I ordered the much pricier FGO (tan/brown package) instead of more Naturevibe. I then compared the products side by side in a glass bowl (see picture). FGO is on the left and Naturevibe is on the right. This is a magnified picture. Note that the Naturevibe is NOT a consistent powder as advertised but a conglomeration of off color fibers, small sticks with a variation of colors from lite tan to the darker red, and having a very coarse particle size distribution from powder to irregular shaped, large particles. This is quite different than what their advertising indicates. Both products had the similar smell of cinnamon. The FGO is a fine powder as advertised, with no oversized, irregular shaped particles and no fibers or sticks. The color is consistently the same. I'm going to keep buying the FGO as long as product quality remains the same. I suggested to Amazon that they remove the Naturevibe product from its site due to the serious quality concerns reported by customers. Clearly from customer reports Naturevibe is having quality problems. Food safety should not be a risk that customers have to worry about.
