Mr. Heater 24" Universal Gas Appliance Hook-Up Kit

Worked Perfectly

We bought this Kit to use with the Mr. Heater 30,000BTU Ventless Blue Flame Propane Heater. We also bought the Mr. Heater 12ft. hose with regulator as we were hooking heater up to a 20# Propane tank. We found it helpful to draw a diagram of all the connections 1/2" or 3/8", male or female, flared male ends sometimes. This will show you what you lack and if will need to buy anything additional at the hardware store- and be sure it's correct for Propane in this case ( "black pipe" steel pipe, or copper tubing and brass fittings- the professionals can tell you precisely, as I am no expert). Also be sure you seal everything well as directed, with yellow gas rated teflon tape and/or gas rated Pipe Dope, and test all connections with dish soap or soapy spray for leaks multiple times. It is great to have the in line Shut off as it adds to the safety of operation IMHO. Also the flex line in this kit really helps with transition from heater -to fitting- to shut off valve- to the long hose to tank (our set up). AS YOU MAY HAVE READ- the main "L" connector that comes with Mr. Heater Ventless Heater can easily strip out and cause havoc so you may want to buy a brass fitting at the store and use that instead! This "L" is NOT part of this kit. This kit was great, and I would recommend it. We did have to use tape on one male "flanged" end (carefully) because it leaked, even though I'd read you don't usually tape or pipe dope the "flanged" fittings. You DO tape and/or Pipe Dope the MALE end of the fittings (the female are the inner threads of the pipe). I am a novice so please read all instructions and safety instructions and ask a Pro if unsure . A bit confusing at first but making a diagram, numbering the sequence really helped us.

A nice hook up kit that made my heater install easy. I had to purchase some pieces separately but not because of this kit, I needed them to be ready for this kit. I wish that it had a longer flex line though so I had more installation placement options available to me. All in all this kit made my life much easier. Someone did their homework on the Teflon tape as there was just enough, perhaps just a bit more since I had other fittings to put together.

Worked, had everything I needed. Didn't use supplied tape. Decent quality, no leaks with the pipe dope i used.

Worked great

Why did you pick this product vs others?: Great price Good quality

All the parts you need to install the heater or upgrade the line. Note: open the windows incase you have to do a hot tap.

Kit is nice except it does not come with the correct fittings for mr heater garage furnace: Ended up running to the hardware store anyways to get the correct fitting. Also wish it was a little longer line

Wird als Adapter für Mister Heater beworben, passt aber hinten und vorne nicht an irgendwelche Gasflaschen oder Gasheizer.

Muy útil para la instalación del calentador que también compré.

Worked perfectly.

Bought this to use with a Mr Heater Portable Buddy and it doesn't attach to the heater. Even with the adaptor that comes with the heater.

Perfect fit.. still works today
