Aroma Housewares AFR-120B Hot X-Press Milk Frother

I normally buy my lattes, but decided to try this to make some at home. Although I didn't have any stronger coffee's I just used a normal peet's coffee and mixed it with the frothed milk. All I can say is I love it. The black top part of the frother is mainly plastic, the inner cup that holds the milk (only 1 cup) is a non stick surface and is easy to clean. It comes with 2 attachments, one for lattes and one for cappuccinos. Operation is easy, pour milk in to the line that says latte or cappuccino. Put plastic clear lid on, press button 1, 2, or 3 times depending on hot, med, cold and that's it. the grey base with the plug stays on the table while the black handled portion just lifts off so it's easy to use. then just wash and wipe the non stick surface and it's ready again. The plug is short though, maybe 2.5' at most. So if you like the taste of the steamed milk at starbucks this does almost the same thing and the foam looked legit. Recommend it for home coffee enthusiasts.6/6/14 Update: Well, unfortunately as others stated, my frother stopped working. Just doesn't turn on. I contacted Aroma and they were great. They answered all my emails and said to send them the serial on the bottom and my amazon receipt. Well i've been making latte's almost everyday and washing this thing everyday, so the serial number washed off long time ago. But still they said they'd honor the 1 year warranty as long as i had a legit receipt which i do from amazon. Very cool, i'm keeping the 5 stars. For the price, i think if i get another 9 months out of this new one, then i'd be more then happy with it. Thanks Aroma! Oh and I just got my new one, they shipped it via UPS within a week of me sending the receipt. Thumbs up!

Wow! now I can make Latte's and Cappuccino's in no time at all. Better yet, I don't have to pay Coffee Store prices to enjoy a nice latte. After I received the AROMA Hot X-Press Milk Frother, I immediately read through the instructions - short, simple, and to the point. All I had to do was place the adapter inside, for latte, pour my favorite skim milk up to the Latte fill line, turn it on and Presto! I had Latte. The Frother has 3 heat settings that you can choose and has another adapter for making Cappuccino's. There is a base plate the Frother sits on that plugs into the wall for providing the energy to do the frothing and heating it up. Since the Frother comes off the base plate when complete to pour into your already waiting coffee or espresso, the Frother acts like a Carafe that will help keep the contents warm. There is a plastic lid that keeps in the warmth, yet it is clear to see into the Frother. This is a well built product that feels rugged and probably can take a beating. I would definitely recommend this to anyone wanting to save money on $5 coffees and enjoy those special coffee drinks in the comfort of your home.

This pot is great, no dangling cord, and it is fast, put in a few ounces of milk , push the button and in about 90 seconds you have thick steaming froth to put into your coffee or espresso to make a cup of cappuccino , you can also make lattes. I have only had this pot for two weeks and have made two cups per day, about 28 cups so far, 28 cups of cappuccino at the popular coffee shop would have cost me over $100.00, point is, this pot has paid for itself three times over already. I still go to Starbucks when I am on the road or out shopping, however, it sure is nice to get up in the morning, and have a great $5.00 cappuccino for the price of about 35 cents, and don't have to leave the house..life is good. Fantastic product. By far, the best frother on the market and I've tried a bunch - from the inexpensive handheld, battery operated ones to the high priced name brand ones (Nesspresso, etc). For the money, the best bet! Heats and froths all types of milk including non-dairy creamer. Be careful to pay attention to the guide limits inside the cavity bowl because it will overflow. That said, it is a small caveat for a product that works quickly, efficiently and at a good price. Another minor issue is pouring - it's a bit messy sometimes. I usually spoon it out which might put some people off, but it's not like it's a huge deal. They also have a model with a spout for pouring, but I can't speak on that, though I'm tempted to try it.

The AROMA AFR-120B Hot X-Press Milk Frother was an Amazon Prime item and arrived within the scheduled time. For the first few days it worked great. Did an amazing job Frothing different kinds of milk. Coconut milk didn't froth well, but regular cream and almond milk frothed quite well. After about ten uses it started to stop working. There is only the one "on" button that you can push. No other way to trouble shoot. After waiting a few hours I tried again and it worked for about another six uses. I thought everything was great and became very accustomed to my morning lattes. Then, it stopped working altogether. For about six days I tried everything I could. Different outlets, moving it around. Not much you can do. There's no reset button and it's a very simple item. Now I'm outside the 30 day return window and am stuck with a useless pitcher. I do NOT recommend this item.

I love this item. Rather than expecting it to heat my milk as some buyers did, I microwave my milk for about 50 seconds (3/4 of a cup), and then put it in the frother for the longest setting. It worked great for my once or twice a day usage until this morning. When I pushed the button, it spun for a few seconds, then went "pop" and stopped. It now refuses to work. I'm hesitant to buy a replacement based on the number of other reviews experiencing a similar short product life. I'll have to do some comparison shopping.

I bought this item with the intention of making lattes. The latte attachment is terrible, it barely froths milk. I just end up with a thin layer of foam and warm milk. I gave this item three stars because the cappuccino attachment is okay, it creates some nice foam. I bought this for convenience, but I think I'll go back to my stovetop steamer. I'm returning this.

me encantó el producto, funciona muy bien y el café sabe muy rico y diferente cuando se prepara la leche aquí. un poco difícil de limpiar pero nada que no se resuelva con un poco de práctica... el primer añoahora, dejo de funcionar, sospecho se quemó el motor o algo así....

Si le das un uso adecuado, trabaja muy bien la tengo en mi negocio y después de un año sigue haciendo su trabajo

Me gusta mucho lo practica que es para elaborar capuchinos, la recomiendo.

Este producto dejó de funcionar a los tres días... lo devolvimos y nos regresaron nuestro dinero, todo en orden.. Gracias.

It is simple operation and works well. Simple set up and took me a few times to get it to foam thick. I would recommend it
