I found this product to be more of a nostalgic item, rather than something I will use on a regular basis.

This jar and metal plate are way overpriced. I bought an emersion blender for about the same price and it makes mayonnaise faster and creamer and thicker. If someone wants to do it by hand I suggest you just use a jar and a wisk, it'd be much cheaper with the same results.

The media could not be loaded.  As a Belgian, my mother always used to make homemade mayonnaise and I miss it so much. I have tried with the immersion blender but I always get soup no matter what I do. I thought this was the answer to my problems. But alas no. Mayonnaise soup, once more. I thought maybe I was doing it wrong but I watched the you tube video from the company and theirs is soupy too. :/

Loved this as a gift. Had to return only because found an easier way to make the Mayo.

I previously made mayonnaise in a blender and while the mayo was OK, cleaning the blender and the amount of waste made me wonder why I bothered. When I saw this Kilner mayo maker, I knew it was the answer. Reviews from satisfied customers also helped. Upon receiving my jar today, I immediately put it to the test. The result was perfect and the jar doubling as a sealed container is an added bonus.

Just what I ordered job well done

I usually make home made mayo in my food processor but the clean up afterwards puts me off a little (it is a pain to clean all the fiddly bits) so when I saw the Kilner Mayo Maker I knew I NEEDED it. It was deliverd in good time and I had a go with it tonight. I followed the recipe that came with it and it worked very well. Emulsified nicely and good and thick. The jar is a good size for it. Home made mayo keeps for a few days in the fridge so you don't want to make too much at a time. Clean up was very easy and straight forward. It literally took 5 minutes to measure out and make it! I love it so much. It may seem expensive £20 but you will never have to buy mayo again and the decent, shop bought stuff can be pricey, so you will save money in the long run as long as you don't drop and break the glass jar (I would assume that if you did break it you could get a replacement from Kilner easily enough). The only niggle I have is that the recipe that came with it tastes quite rank. I will not use that one again. I will adapt my tried and tested recipe and use that instead. I cannot praise this mayo maker enough!
