Perfect OEM replacement
Purchased for an LG Washer. The original hose was damaged as a result of a repipe in my home and the installers weren't paying attention to what they were doing pulling my washer out too far without removing the hose from the drain pipe.Installation wasn't too bad although I think LG could have come up with a better design for the drain pipe attachment.Once installed it performs good as new. Happy with the purchase.

Exact fit for my Kenmore 796.41583410 washer
After 9 years of use, my Kenmore Elite washer leaked due to a broken drain hose elbow. (The green elbow in this part picture). The elbow is made of a rubber like material, that degraded through the years of use. This replacement is the same, hopefully with a better elbow as the part number has been updated. The part is a few inches less in the hose that goes out of the washer to the drain (compared to the original). For me, this wasn't an issue. It is easy to install if you have the skills, strength, and the right tools. If you search for the part number in the web you will find "how to" videos. Hopefully this part will last longer.

Fits perfectly and does the job
I replaced the original drain hose on my LG front load washer after I had cut the original hose off a little to short (Note to self: Measure twice, cut once) and this replacement was exactly what was needed.

Eliminate the odor
If your washer smells moldy and you've tried the tub cleaning products to no avail, check the discharge tube. You will likely find that it reeks of mold. I first tried cleaning it with bleach but that only lasted a few months and then the smell came back. This is relatively easy to install, check out the how-to videos on YT. The job is much easier if you have a spring expansion tool to remove/replace the hoop around the door seal. These are available from Amazon for $12. Also, wear gloves, some of the sheet metal parts have sharp edges.

Exactly what my washer needed
Found out the hard way that the hoses are not supposed to come of the white T. I removed my old hose from the T to check for a clog (no clog, of course), just my luck. Put it all back together and reinstalled it on my washer and ran a rinse cycle. Discovered it leaking, boo! Went to several local stores and called even more, Noone had it in stock and would take several weeks to get. Found it on Amazon and got it next day, Woo-hoo!! Installed it in about 15 minutes and ran another rinse cycle. Oh yeah!! Perfect no leaks! Saved me a lot of money to do it myself and is OEM guaranteed.

Duct tape makes it last longer
Duct tape generally won't stop an existing leak, but it can take the strain off the hose and prevent it from leaking. When I tried this, the second hose I got lasted a lot longer (10+ years) than the first (maybe 3 years). Of course, it leaked somewhere else, but it did not develop a leak where I tapped it.

fit perfectly and got rid of the mildew smell.
If your laundry has an odor or if you have been adding vinegar or similar to combat it, get this hose. There was a buildup of gunk in the drain line of the washer and the small black line on the drain dumps back into the tub. I think this is where the smell was coming from. Completely gone with new hose.
