To use: Form the desired shape and let dry completely. You can dry at room temperature for 24 hours or in a dehydrator for 4-5 hours to ensure that the entire piece is completely dry. (If there is any moisture in the wood clay, the heat of firing will convert it to steam, which can split the PMC layer as it escapes.) Form your PMC piece around the clay, dry, and fire as normal. The wood clay burns out and creates non-toxic fumes. As with any PMC firing, fire in a well-ventilated room or outside. Wrap the unused portion of the wood clay tightly in plastic wrap and store in a zip-lock bag. Clay can also be softened slightly by adding water.
