Is this product clear or creamy?

It's creamy but you will love the scent.

Before using this, do I clean my skin throughly with another moisturizer or with soap like in the shower?

I wouldn't think you would have to go through a routine, but cleaning your face with Micellar water or a cleansing clothe should suffice. Since you are putting a new product on your face, you wouldn't want to pack it on top of what is already there.Whenever you add something, it is a ideal to start on a 'clean slate' if you would. I am not a dermatologist, only speaking from experience as to what works for my skin.

I’m looking for a moisturizer that won’t dry my skin, and that I can use as the *only* moisturizer. I’m also prone to acne so. Will this tackle both?

Yes. You can slather it on or just add a little depending on the dryness of your skin. If you use other acne treatments (e.g. salicylic acid cleanser) you may experience dryness or peeling due to the combination of treatments. I use a gentle cleanser, keep my hands off my face and so far so fantastic.
