Hermione Granger's Wand with Ollivanders Wand Box

This is one of the coolest things I've gotten in a while. I've always wanted a 'real' wand when I was a kid seeing the first movie and getting into the books, and now that I'm an adult with money, this seemed like a logical choice in order to fulfill that childhood wish to be a wizard. Getting this in the mail was legitimately exciting, like 'holy moly, I'm finally gonna be a wizard!' I just couldn't pass up a chance to give this a review. Firstly, the packaging it came in was considerate-- they had a box more than double the actual product's size box filled with the big bubbles (not the classic bubble wrap we love to pop- the big ones that make the very loud pop sounds), with I believe another box snugly around the actual wand's box (might be mistaken-- I was too excited to pay much attention to that middle box). I thought that was really nice. The actual wand box is really pretty. It's a deep green colour with stickers on either end of it. Identical to the picture they advertise except the picture's colour is a tad lighter. When you open it up, there's two strips of ribbon that are red covering up the wand itself, as well as a certificate of authenticity. The ribbon can't be removed. Under the ribbon, the wand is snug in nice green velvet. It's a very pretty box overall and is perfect to display the wand when you're not holding it. In fact, it looks pretty much identical to the boxes from Ollivander's store in the movies. For the wand itself, it's simply gorgeous. The colour is a darker brown than the picture advertised, but it's still amazing. The wand's not made of wood, but it's made to look and feel like it is. It's got a bit of weight to it; it's not 'heavy,' but it feels a bit heavier than the average stick you'd find in the yard. There are vines along the wand, and they have a carved look to them, like they were actually carved from wood. It's a nice touch. I haven't noticed any seams on it, which helps with the wooden appearance, though small copyright print can be found near its base. It's not intrusive though, and if you're planning on using it as a costume piece, your hand will cover it up anyway. Heck, if you're planning on displaying it, it's easy enough to hide by just not showing that side. It actually took me a few glances to notice it. Other than that, holding it has a magical feel to it, like you want to let your imagination run wild and pretend to be a wizard. Of course it can't actually cast spells, which is the only disappointment I can find, but it doesn't matter when your using your imagination to make it come to life. I don't know how durable it actually is, so I don't know if a kid that's a tad rough on their toys will be ok with this, but for Halloween or gentle pretend play, I can see this as a must-have. This is honestly amazing and any kid or adult that wants to be a wizard will probably adore this. And just so you know, it really does look identical to the advertised picture, except a tad darker than shown and the ribbon's red.

I was very pleased with my Hermoine Granger's replica wand. It came in the Ollivander's box beautifully packaged with organza coverings. The wand itself is quite beautiful and durable, but I must stress one fact to all parents: THIS IS NOT A TOY! This wand is an official prop replica of the actual wand used in the films. It even comes with a certificate of authenticity. I am sure that this would be great gift for teens and young adults but again this is NOT a toy. It is meant to be displayed (I plan on using my wand occasionally, other then that it will be on display.) It is beautifully painted to look like Vinewood but it is made out of resin. Resin is durable, but if dropped (especially onto a hard floor) it WILL break. If you are looking for a toy wand, the Noble Collection has a Hermoine Granger toy wand made of hard plastic. The tip even lights up when the wand is waved. This replica wand here is not appropriate for young children. My only small (I stress the word small) complaint is that I wish the organza coverings in the box were an actual full removable scarf. One that could be folded up and placed in the box with the wand. The organza strips are attached to the insides of the box, are in two pieces and not removable. I would have preferred a full scarf. Over all I am VERY happy with my purchase and I FULLY recommend this to any fan of Harry Potter! Happy spell casting!

I Bought this for my best friend for her birthday and she lovvvved it!!! I plan on getting her the whole set because she displays all her Harry Potter stuff in her office at work... I would definitely recommend

Wand has a great feel/weight and looks authentic. My one comment that keeps this from being a 5 star item is it's sold and marketed as coming with a Ollivanders' Wand Box, but in fact, it's just a plain box with no mention of Ollivanders. That would have been an easy and great touch, and frankly I bought this wand over other options because I was thinking it would be more exciting for a kid to receive a wand out of the movies. But overall, the actual product/wand looks great!

Oh my gosh, I am beyond thrilled with this wand! :) The box is lovely green color, with a parchment beige color on the inside. It has the Olivervanders logo on the side, and red ribbon as the trim for the box. When you open up the box, there is a certificate of authenticity, and ribbons covering up the wand, just like in the movie! The wand itself is gourgeous, and even has some weight to it! (It even comes sitting in a velvet green material! Like omg!) The only thing I will say is that like other reviewers will tell you, the color of the wand is slightly more brown than the green and caramel color is the photo. Nevertheless, I absolutely love this wand, and I would definitely recommend to any Harry Potter fan! :) (especially if you love Hermione!)
