Must Have Easy Install on Monoprice Select Mini v2
This is a must-have upgrade for any Monoprice Select Mini v2 owners. It's extremely affordable, a direct fit, well made and is a fairly easy install if you know the trick with prevents you from completely disassembling the entire thing. The trick is, when unscrewing the 4 screws for the old extruder base plate, to leave one screw still in place. I left the top left one in. As you are loosening that last screw, you will notice the stepper motor will become lose and start to drop inside the tower. Hold the tip of the stepper motor with some needle nose pliers and unscrew the last screw. You will need to finagle off the base plate while holding onto the stepper motor still. Simply reverse the process to get the new one on.Also, you do NOT need extra bearings like some guides on the internet have stated (for the gold colored metal extruder). You can easily remove the drive gear off the top of the stepper motor and install the included new drive gear. Loosen the little set screw in the side of the old drive gear, then I used a flathead screwdriver and pried it off. It took a lot of force and it felt like I was breaking it, but it was just the metal friction of the old gear not wanting to come off the shaft easily. Once it was off, the new one slid on easily. You'll need to line the new one up (height wise) with the opening for the filament on the base of the new plate, then tighten the set screws down.Be careful with the new screws, they are all hex screws and require several different sizes of bits to install. Don't strip any of them out, tighten them gently but firmly. The install video was extremely helpful because the tiny instructions that came with it were all but useless.Anyway, the included photo shows the new one installed. I tested it out real quick by feeding some line in and out of it and it worked flawlessly.

A must upgrade
Great upgrade for the plastic extruder that the ended 3 comes with. Mine already had a fairly large notch in the hole that the filament goes into the arm. The bearing is the same size as the original and you can reuse your gear for the filament drive. The included gear is a little bigger so if you change it you will need to readjust your esteps on the g code. The finish on the metal extruder is nice. Everything bolted right up. The only thing I would change is the under the bearing the small lifted section to prevent rubbing and drag is not high enough and if you over tighten it, it will rub.

Screw didn't fit and made everything unusable
Update: Reached out to seller and after trying to figure out the problem they sent me a replacement which ended up installing perfectly.Received it today and installed it onto my printer, one of the screw holes that is used on the roller that helps loads filament into the tube was too big for the screw, and the filament didn't load into my ender 3 pro, my printer couldn't push any filament into the nozzle at all. Really disappointed.

Huge upgrade to the stock, plastic one.
This was a substantial upgrade to the stock extruder, which in my case and even with light use had managed to nearly be worn-through by the filament. I made only one substantial change to this: I very carefully mounted the extruder base in my vice, and used a drill press to give the extruder pass-through a slightly larger bevel. This made it much easier to load filaments in without compromising any of the parts that require precision. Would suggest to the manufacturer that they make this change as well.

Good upgrade!
Nice upgrade over the stick junk that comes with the Ender 3! The spring is very tight and while this is good I can make it difficult to remove filament due to the increased drag. Otherwise, works great!I see a lot of complaints about these not having good install instructions. If you remove your stock one as one piece it's not hard to assemble this using the stock one as a reference. If you have a 3D printer and can't figure this out, then maybe you shouldn't own a 3D printer 😂

Easy to install and improved print quality
The stock extruder on my Ender3 had started to slip and end up with bad print quality. This replacement was very easy to install and now I have great print quality again. Seems almost better than it was originally, but it's been a while. Very happy with the replacement part.

Fantastic part, but watch the video
I'm not docking a star on this because they do include a link to a video in addition to the printed instructions. Throw the printed instructions away. The hands in the photos obscure what you're trying to do. If you follow the video, you'll find that this thing is easy to assemble and a MUCH stronger upgrade than the factory part.

Great for PETG
This extruder is great if you only want to print with PETG. I have tried MANY PLA rolls and they always break. There is no way to adjust the tension on this extruder.I even asked if there was and my question was never answered.
