Bought an 8-pin mini-din m/m serial rs232 cable it fit, but kept blowing out the fuse on my ev pc speaker. is this one different and for speakers?

I know some speaker systems use a standard mini din cable however you didn't specify which model you have. If I remember correctly there are 6, 8, and 4 pin versions. EVs website should be able to tell you exactly what cable you need for your specific speakers. If it is indeed an 8 pin mini din, maybe the cable is bad. The one I purchased works for what I bought it for. I know that doesn't help much but their site should give you what you need. Good luck!
