Works exactly as advertised. It does a good job of filtering out dust and other impurities from the air, although it doesn't reduce odor as much as the carbon filters. But that's to be expected, plus having a hepa-filter with carbon pre-filters would more than take care of this problem (as I have). I recommend this product.

Earlier items sold under this name may not have been authentic but the product I received, shipped and sold by Amazon, are legit. Perfect cut, perfect sizing, quality is better than the OEM carbon filter that was included with the AC.

Fits right, but there is no way for the user to test efficacy thus its actual value is a crapshoot. At least it does not emit any onerous odor into the air stream in cooling or circulation-only modes. Wholly a "take-it-on-faith" proposition.

I have used this for about 2 summers. It needs to be cleaned about every 3 months of use and washes off easily with plain water. Stops most dust/lint. The coils in my unit still look new. It also helps hold the flimsy carbon filter in place.

Do not buy this item! It does not work with the machine. It is false advertisememt. It is a poor fit and a poor size.
