Make a new reel out of wood with a nail through the center. Does not have to be circular in shape. What about two pieces of wood in the shape of a cross.

Is it possible to get a replacement spindle/wheel section? The tiny black bars on mine have snapped off. Thank you.

You can get them on eBay but they’re about £4.50.

It is made of solid plastic, heavy in weight so doesn't move when used. I would give it 5 star. Use all the time
