So, I never ever write amazon reviews BUT I read A TON of reviews on this BEFORE getting it and was a little discouraged. Many people said it made their skin worse and I got very frightened because I have been actively trying to heal some dark scars on my face and close up some pores. Essentially I want skin that looks healthy enough to not wear makeup. Anyways, as I said, I read a bunch of really good reviews and a bunch of really unhappy reviews and I was hesitant. I have tried white clay masks from Kiehls and that didn’t do much for my skin and I have tried charcoal peel off masks and that didn’t do much either. I have pores that are visible in between my eye brows, on my nose, and chin and I live in NYC so I am ALWAYS aware of the fact that my face gets dirty really fast with the nasty nasty pollution in the air. So, after a lot of deliberation I figured what the heck, I’ll buy it (because it’s a good price) do it PROPERLY and see what happens. The first night I did it, I focused mainly on my trouble spots to see if it would reduce the pores and I did not leave it on for longer than ten minutes (honestly it was probably like under ten), I mixed in a glass bowl with a plastic spoon and Braggs ACV ( absolutely no water). I washed it very gently afterwards (saw only a slight redness) and immediately used some vitamin e oil and very natural lotion to prevent dryness. ( I also MADE sure I had CLEAN hands when I lotioned up my face.) The next morning the spots on my skin were slightly lighter and my pores were not as visible. I have to admit I often stare at my face in the mirror with the horrible bright light on the maginified side and when I did that my pores looked smaller!! This wasn’t a HUGE difference but there was a change, and it made me happy. I’ve done it a couple more times (yes I know it’s supposed to be once a week), but I really like it. My skin between my eye brows was a little dry today, but a little lotion fixed that up. There has been no extended amounts of redness or breakouts and overall, I like the results. I definitely recommend this if you are willing, able and patient to test it and go slow. I did not use it on my entire face until the third time because I wanted to see how my problem areas reacted first. Because I didn’t have any problem with it, I moved on to a full face mask. This isn’t a mask that you can just peel on and off, and yes you do have to make sure that chunks of clay don’t go down your drain because it will harden and clog the drain. It takes a little tender, love and care, but it is totally worth it. Do not be afraid to try it, for 8 dollars it’s really well priced and has done good things for my skin!! I’ve been using this clay mask for a years now, and it’s one of those products I always keep on hand. This is hard because I do feel like it works but it’s not a easy product. First there is SOO MUCH. This will legit last you for way longer than it would be good for. You can mix it with water or apple cider vinegar. The acv will make it bubble and smell so strong and it drys quick in the bowl (not to mention you have to use specific bowls and spoons) it drys like cement almost so it’s hard to go down the drain so don’t make soo much/ once on ur face it does what it says it will lift your skin it’s crazy like I said this stuff works!! But your skin is BRIGHT red after as in like face burnt so if you have sensitive skin I wouldn’t buy maybe use a friends first to see but over all I don’t think it’s moisturizing I mean your face is lifted tight and red.. but it cleans your skin like amazingly and the next few days you have some of the softest skin. So would I recommend absolutely but just be aware do not use this everyday maybe once a month tops. Get this as a gift for someone who will split it with you. Read the directions!

This is my go to (2x weekly) face mask/bentonite mud treatment. It's a pulsating, rejuvenating face mask that will blow your mind, and it's priced economically! A little of this product goes a long way! Don't order the off-brand names that are cheaper and claim to be something that they clearly are not! This is the original, purist, and most trustworthy Bentonite product on the market! It doesn't stink like swamp gas (like the cheaper off-brand one I tried)! If you want the best, buy the best — cause the rest don't stack up! I want to apologize to you, Aztec Secret, I knew the secret was you, it always has been. I strayed away and I'll never do it again. Mix a small amount of this Aztec "Gold" with Apple Cider Vinegar to form a paste — slather that stuff on your face about 1/4" thick and wait 5-15 minutes! As it dries on your skin you'll literally feel your face start to tighten up and then you start to feel your face tingle (ooh feels good already just thinking about it! The blood vessels on your face tend to like heat up like a flushing feeling —, blood is rushing to your capillaries for a unique feel! If you have sensitive skin test this somewhere inconspicuous on your body. I gotta tell you it brings blackheads and impurities that are sitting irght below the surface of your skin to the top. I sing my praises to thee AZTEC SECRET! In the future, I willl always buy this and never stray from you again. Thank you Aztec Secret!!! Love you guys!

I suffer from eczema on my face. I found this to work very well. My skin has cleared after a month. I clean my face with black soap. I also use vitamin c serum and rosemary oil. The first picture is one week after use. The second picture is currently, which is one month. The third picture was the first day.I used mask and the way my skin looked. It evened out my skin complexion. Dried out the acne. Also dried out the eczema that was on my chin and cheeks. I also used it for my daughters who suffer from eczema. The mask cleared everything up in about a week. I would highly recommend this product. I'm forty five years old, and it's definitely helped improve my skin texture and tone.

I have been having horrible breakouts and of course the Drs want to put me on meds. I do have to say this mask has helped a ton for skin in a short time frame, it pulls everything to the surface but also dries it out so it doesn’t give an irritated break out look. It does cause a little itching and did make my forehead a little red. It’s great quality dried in a 5 mins and the more I do the mask the less red my forehead gets

This stuff is AMAZING. I've had very very bad luck with clay masks in the past so I was nervous about buying this, but the reviews convinced me to give it a try. My skin is super sensitive and reacts to lots of different things, but I've used this mask a bunch of times now and not once has it stung, burned or irritated my skin, even mixed with apple cider vinegar! I don't have acne per se, just the occasional spots, but I did have some texturing on my cheeks that I have been surprised to see smoothing out over the past few weeks, and as the only thing I've changed in my routine is adding this mask, it must be the clay! I love that there's no additional ingredients as these are what irritates me with other brands, and it makes my skin feel so beautifully soft after rinsing, I just adore it. I use it once every 5 or so days, mixing 1 part acv with 2 parts water to make a smooth paste, and leave it on until almost dry. My skin is looking smoother and brighter (and my spots are getting more infrequent too!) with every application that I do, and since my only complaint is that it does make me feel dry, and this can be fixed by using a good moisturiser straight away, I can only say that this is the best mask I've ever used and I'll absolutely be coming back for more when my tub is empty!

A quick background story about myself: I have been suffering with acne for the past 5 years, I have tried countless of masks, face wash, moisturizer etc, you name it. But nothing have worked for me. I have been using this clay for a few weeks now and I definitely noticed some changes on my face. Most of my cystic acne has gone flat after one week of using this clay. I can hardly see any blackhead on my nose. This clay might actually work for me but I will give it another 2-3 months. Hopefully I will have no pimples by then. I mixed the indian clay with Apple Cide Vinegar 1:1.2 ratio and I find that works the best. It creates a nice smooth thick paste.
