Mobile EdgeCheckpoint Friendly Element Laptop Briefcase Compatible with Macbook, Business, Travel

I've been looking for a new work bag for awhile that would hold my Mac laptop or my iPad and that would look stylish, and this one fit the bill.When it arrived a few days ago, I was surprised at how heavy it was when empty. I carried it around the house for a bit before deciding whether or not to keep it, but ultimately decided to since I really like the look of it.It's hard to tell from the photos, but of the three zippered compartments, the one that holds your laptop is the widest. I had been hoping that that pocket would be the thinner one since I carry a water bottle with me to work each day, and don't want it so close to my expensive electronics. Because of that, I may use the thinner middle compartment to carry my laptop or iPad since it's pretty well-cushioned.The outer compartment that holds pens and smaller supplies is also great and has plenty of room. I teach and need a bag that can carry all my miscellaneous office supplies, and this will keep me well-organized. It's not shown in the photo, but the middle compartment also contains a small pouch that clips to the bag, where you can also store supplies. There are also two exterior pockets that can hold extra materials.The shoulder strap also seems well-made, and I love the option of using either the handles or the shoulder strap. (When I was on the hunt for a new bag, it was surprisingly hard to find a bag that had both.) I don't like to put a bag on my shoulder if it's too heavy since I've developed shoulder tendonitis from carrying around a heavy shoulder bag for too many years. (I blame it on having to carry around all my students' essays! :-))I also took the advice of a previous reviewer and Scotch-guarded the pink suede areas so they would hopefully repel dirt.I'll update my review as I use this more so I can let you know how it holds up, but, for now, I'm very pleased with it.

I really like this purchase. I only took one star off because of the hook issue everyone is talking about, other than that it's perfect for travelling! Just keep in mind, this is great to rest on the luggage handle as it does have a part for that. I wouldn't use it for every day use as it is heavy. I like that it has a lot of room and you can put two laptops (I have my Chromebook HP 14" and Macbook Air 13") and it fits perfect! I've attached pictures to show what it looks like. Personally, I like it because I will only be using it for travelling when I have a luggage. In terms of durability, I just received it, so I can't comment on it.

I have had this bag for about 1 year. For starters, it is quite heavy. Add a decent sized laptop, and carry it through a major airport, and you have a recipe for a very sore shoulder & back. Although the weight is a very big issue for me, that's not the main reason I gave this product 2 stars. My rating has more to do with the quality of this bag, or serious lack thereof, to be more specific. My bag holds 1 laptop, a spiral notebook, a wireless mouse, a pen or two, and one or two small packs of business cards. I mostly use it to transport these items to and from the office a couple days a week, with the addition of some very light business travel (i.e., 1 trip every 2-3 months, or so). The zipper pulls are fraying and about to fall off, the top edges of the bag show an unwarranted amount of wear, the handles are frayed and coming apart at the seams, the clip for the shoulder strap un-clips randomly, ALL THE TIME, causing the bag to go flying off my shoulder. So much so that I have had to rig it with some packing tape to make the shoulder strap usable. To say that I am disappointed would be a huge understatement, and I probably would not consider buying from Mobile Edge again.

I really like this bag. However, when I first got it I thought about returning it because it really wasn't what I thought it was. The front and middle pocket are small and don't open very wide, but I can fit folders in them and small/medium textbooks in the front. The large back pocket which holds the laptop will also hold the charger and a three ring binder (I believe it's a two inch binder that I have) with no problem. I use this mainly for school on occasion and hope to use it more once I start teaching. I have never traveled with it through an airport so I am not able to comment on that aspect of the bag.

This bag has worked very well for my daily commute into office and monthly air travel. I never check anything so I stick my ziploc bag of toiletries with my laptop and then just unzip and stick ziploc bag into separate bin. Security at the airport is a breeze!My only complaint is that the bag picks up and shows a lot of grease and dirt from the conveyor belts and it's been difficult to get it out. If I had to repeat, I would buy a darker bag in a material that is easier to clean.

I really like this bag, and I got a solid brown version for my husband and he likes his also. I like the pink and brown color combination, but I wish there were more color options. The striped lining is pretty too. The pockets are numerous and well divided and the zippers are sturdy. I've had lighter weight laptop bags/briefcases but this one is not too heavy even with all of my stuff. I also like that the "scan fast" option is written on the inside of the bag, so that TSA screeners will see that the computer does not have to be removed. (I wondered how the typical security screener would know that the laptop doesn't have to be removed from this bag versus all of the other bags so I was pleasantly surprised when I opened the bag and saw the markings.)

It's a nice bag. Several compartments and the zippers work well. I was looking for an everyday bag that would go through airport security without my having to remove my laptop. I'd shopped around but most TSA approved bags were black and boring and more than what I needed. This bag suits me and my purpose, everyday carry with occasional flying. It is well made and I expect will hold up well for my needs. It may not be suitable for the frequent flier. It's also a nice looking bag and easy to carry.

I have had this bag for several years and it is still holding together. Some small tears where the leather arm meets the pink fabric, I would suggest that the company reinforce this area as the handles put a lot of pressure at these joints.

It's a beautiful bag. Lots of room for more than your computer. Lots of compliments ! True review I never do reviews but I do love my bag!

This bag is garbage. Used it on one business trip and, in the first day one of the zippers was not working properly and on the second day one of the handles broke off.
