Bitter
The tea is bitter as advertised. The same fruit used in Chinese Hot and Sour soup is in this tea. The teabag only contains this particular fruit. On occasion, I break open a bag and chew the seeds for the sublingual effect. I've lost 30 lbs since January 1 with this, willpower, and clear soups. I lived in the hospital and hospice center for two months until my father died during the holidays with liver cirrhosis. Trying to turn my life around for grandkids with this product along with other things. I hope this helps and best of luck.

This must be an acquired taste. I couldn't even get one cup down. It is not "my cup of tea".
