This is an amazing read for anyone with POTS
This is an amazing read for anyone with POTS. I read it and got a better understanding. I was able to read it in one day and then gave it to my family members to read after I had read it and wrote side notes inside and highlighted the symptoms I have. I gave it to family members to help them understand and believe in the condition more, since they are skeptics. I also gave it to my Primary Care Doctor to read to help him understand it better as well. He has been next to me on this journey and we have both been learning as we go. Hopefully after reading this book he can spot POTS and related conditions in other patients faster, reducing diagnosis timing!

Helpful, But Too Short
I know I have dysautonomia, but still need an official diagnosis. I wish this gave more advice or even just examples of the effects of it with comorbities (I have Epstein-Barr, trauma, autism, TLE, migraines, unpredictable but low bp witlh even More unpredicytable pulse, and a dx of JHS that I think is EDS type III. Also I jugst mosly recoxvered from Chronic Lybme and and still treating mold toxicity freom my childhood home. Allergies and asthma, osteoporosis by my twenties , hyperprolactenemia, etc. Sorry for the list, but so many more details and comparisons could havebeen included!

Great information on POTS
I have a friend who has been diagnosed with POTS (Postural Orthostatic Tachycardia Syndrome), or dysautonomia. I had absolutely no idea what this was or how I could possibly be supportive, so I went searching for more information. I came across this very detailed and informative book by Frederick Earlstein. There is great information here about what POTS is, signs and symptoms, causes and treatment for it and tips for living with POTS. I particularly appreciated the information on living with POTS and the chapter on research on resources to get additional information. A very well-written and well-organized book on an elusive disorder.

Very Basic and General Info
If you are at all skilled at internet research, don't bother with this book. The information is fairly broad and superficial. If, on the other hand, you want to know the basics and hate researching, or need a simple way to explain the basics to someone else, this book would be useful. I read it in an hour, and am planning to leave it on my chiropractor's book shelf, where it could help someone who is just at the beginning of trying to nail down their weird health issues.

Helpful Handbook
Not a medical text, but a good, well-researched handbook for those needing information about this disorder. Saved me a lot of time searching for and collating this information myself.

Informative
Good collection of information for those newly diagnosed. Only wish we had more for those of us older patients 20-50 age range. Truly believe it is hereditary and research should continue to look there. Overall great read to sort out the mess of what POTS is.

Fantastic Read, very informative
Fantastic book, but if your buying from the UK, it's written by an American so lots of info for them, it's still fantastic and definitely worth a read for Postural Orthostatic Tachycardia syndrome sufferers. I've only been diagnosed for a few months, and I'd never heard of PoTS until I was admitted to hospital and the Cardiologist told me! So I've been researching a lot and this book has a lot of information.

Not very practical. It seems pieced together with bits from every article you could find online. Has detailed medical snipits that don't really tie in.
