Fish Skin Twist Dog Chews Short 200g, Grain Free Dental Sticks

These are great . Ive bought both the short and longer version . They take my springer a few minutes to get through so not necessarily a boredom buster, but it makes his tail wag and is super good for his teeth while not introducing too many extra calories . I dont worry about chipped teeth or other possible complications seen with harder chews.

I’ve tried a number of low fat treats for our dog who is recovering from acute pancreatitis, and these are one of his favourites. They do smell of fish, but that’s fair considering that’s what they are! The resealable bag is sturdy and keeps the odour in and our dog loves them so they don’t hang around for long.

I bought these Skipper's Fish Skin Twists (200g, Short) for my two small breed dogs. We were looking for a chew that would be effective for dental maintenance, that would not cause digestive upset, lead to weight gain or cause allergy flares and that would meet specific safety criteria we have in place. A single-ingredient dental treat was the ideal starting point. 🦷🐟 Safety and Texture (Product Features): ✅ A crucial aspect for us is the product's texture and hardness. These treats are designed to be firm yet pliable; they are not harder than my own thumbnail. This is particularly important to us as one of our dogs has previously fractured a pre-molar on a very hard tendon chew. We are therefore uncompromising about ensuring the dental chews we offer are appropriately firm for the dogs. The firm, abrasive quality of these dried fish skin works effectively to safely engage their teeth for cleaning as they chew. Usage and Palatability: Both of my dogs are very happy to chew these, which is essential for a dental product to be useful. If the dogs weren't motivated to chew them, they wouldn't provide any tooth-cleaning benefits. The high palatability ensures consistent engagement with the product. Based on the product's composition, we use these as an occasional supplement to their regular diet, about 1-2 times a week. However, unlike some commercial dental sticks, which are high in carbohydrates, these chews are unlikely to contribute to weight gain, or digestive upsets if used sensibly. ❌ Potential Drawbacks: The only downsides are related to the product's natural composition; as expected with fish products, they have a strong, distinctly fishy smell. The odour tends to linger in the area where the dogs are chewing. This is worth bearing in mind depending on where you plan to give them to your pets. ⚖️💷 Value for Money: I think the size and pricing of these treats makes them sustainable for regular use. The "short" twists are perfectly portioned for small breed dogs. ✅ Overall, these twists are a great option for small dog guardians prioritising dental health with a natural, single-ingredient product. They meet specific texture requirements we have for dental safety and are highly enjoyable for my dogs. The strong odour is a trade-off for the natural, high-value ingredient. 🐾❤️

Our dogs absolutely love this treat

Dog loves it. Got more

Impossible to use as an indoor treat due to the smell. It's a durable chew and I would guess great for the dogs teeth but phew what a stink.

My dogs love them and it's great for digestion and teeth

Last a reasonable time for my two cockers spaniels , do stink but my dogs love them

These are a great alternative to a regular rawhide chew. We have our dogs on strict whitefish diet due to food allergies. These are a great snack for them. They are crispy but hard to cut if you need to.

My German Sheppard dog loves these!

I feel like it's often hard to find treats for a dog that is on fish diet. My dog is obsessed with them & that makes me happy!

Delivered on time as promised. My Sheba loves these!

My dog loves them
