Teslong ear wax remover
I have always had a wax issue - since I was a very small child. And my old country doctor told me "Do NOT stick anything smaller than your elbow into your ear. Ever." I have gone to an Ear Nose Throat doc to get the wax removed for years. The virus has caused me to seek out alternatives for some optional care - this being one. My ENT has a handy "vacuum" tool I wish I could get my hands on - but no luck on that - yet. That vacuum is so fast and painless. Back in the day they would flush my ears with warm water - that REALLY hurts - I have an inner condition (dual endo-lymphatic hydrops - NOT Meiners) - this adds to discomfort of a water wash. Then came the drops and other ear additives that never worked and in some cases were also painful. I also tried a little plastic scoop that had a protective stop ring so you can not insert it too far into the canal - but I couldn't see what I was doing or where to even reach! I just wanted to outline what I have tried before this tool. I considered this tool and a spiral spinner type for this purchase. The spinner version had such a mixed bag of reviews, I went this way - even though this one is a bit more of an investment.First, you will need to download software onto your android or Iphone. There are access requests, but you can totally deny what you don't want it access. I allowed storage only. Still works perfectly.PROS- The camera is bright and very clear. You can easily see what you need to. *who knew there were so many little fine hairs on your ear walls! I am super amazed at how clear the camera is.- It comes with 4 heads that easily attach to the camera end. *NOTE It's going to take a bit of practice to become effective with use. It's a little like when you're looking in a mirror and the opposite direction.. It's taking me some time - but I am going to persevere. Also includes 3 ear scope tips.- Comes with a hard case, zipper close case that has stretchy mesh inside to keep all the pieces in place and clean.- Comes with a starter supply of alcohol swabs for cleaning and some really tiny qtips for cleaning the implements.- Comes with a charging/attach to your phone cord AND adapters for both android and Iphones. (I have an android - Samsung Galaxy 10+ - works seamlessly.- Comes with an easy to follow and understand mini manual and FAQs.- It charges up very quickly and lasts longer (in my opinion) than you need it to.- Overall, it's extremely easy to understand and use (but you will need to practice for success)NEUTRAL- on the app download description there is a lot of Asian writing (Chinese I am assuming) and little English - AND there are so far only 12 (TWELVE) reviews of the app. However, the app loaded on my phone quickly and is 100% English - but in fairness there is little to read or understand as the camera just starts as you're using it. Also, it is "verified" by Playstore - so I feel it's fairly ok at this point.- The tips are just long enough to reach the waxy area - but be careful not to insert any further into your ear - there is no stopper protection to stop you from pushing too far into your ear canal. In all honesty, the camera should help to stop you from inserting too far if you're paying attention. The camera view is very, very clear - but it is tricky to use - requires practice.CONS- I am a klutz and it's taking longer than I would like to be successful - BUT I can see the light at the end of the tunnel (ha) and the possibility of success. It might be too hard for some and I would not recommend for older folks to use on their own - unless they have help.- the attachment scoops need to be securely and carefully attached - if not, they can become unattached and you have to fish it out. I did not have this issue, but I didn't attach properly and it fell off as I removed the camera - fortunately outside of my ear. After that - I carefully and securely attach the tips.At this time I am very happy with my purchase - however, having said this I never hesitate to update my reviews should new info seem useful.

Worked great, better customer service
I have had my otoscope for just over a year. 15 months to be precise. It has never given my troubles. I was in the middle of an assessment, when I changed to look in the other ear the camera went completely whitewashed and I couldn't see. I started trouble shooting. Reinstalled the app, reset my phone, disconnected and reconnected the device. It could no longer connect to the device. Any way I reached out to the company even though the warranty period had passed. I got a quick email from AI. Next communication I received was a confirmation email that a replacement was on it's way and another email for a coupon on future purchases. I don't think I ever spoke to a real person but it was taken care of within hours. I have no idea what went wrong but I love a company that stand's behind their product. Aside from this- I never had any issues. The app was easy to install initially. The instructions were always clearly written. Good quality and easy to clean. I do always need an extra hand to take pictures. I deal with kids so it's nice to hand them the device and ask them to press the button when I tell them. It helps with anxiety being a part of the process. If you're examining an ear properly you usually need a hand to pull back the ear and another for the scope. If you want to save an image, you need the extra. I would definitely buy from this company again. Worth the investement

Recurrent ear infections
My 4 year old has recurrent ear infections, so I got this to keep an eye on his ears when he's sick. I am an RN, and was trained with an otoscope many years ago, but haven't used one since. I figured it was like riding bike. It did take a bit of practice. The first few times I used it, it caused obvious discomfort to the kids. I practiced on everyone in the house, including myself, and can now use it on the kids without causing pain. You can also get the camera turned upside down, in which case all your landmarks are in the wrong spot. You can get a picture from a weird angle, rather than straight on. Again, there's a learning curve.I like that I can see it on the phone, but I wish I could look through the end of the otoscope. Seeing it with my actual eyes vs just on the phone matters to me. Maybe that's the nurse in me. The kids liked looking at it at first, but now could care less.Anyway, my son was sick, I thought his ear looked infected on this otoscope, so took him to the pedi. The ear was infected, however, it wasn't actually nearly as bad as what it looked like on this device. I took the device in and showed the pedi. I showed her the photos I took with it right before going in to the pedi. She said it didn't look anywhere near that red in real life. She then let me use her $300 otoscope to look and she's right, they looked WAY more red on this camera otoscope than on hers. She hypothesized that perhaps it's the brightness or color of the light that makes it look that way.A week later we went back for the follow-up and she said his ears looked 'perfect' through her otoscope. When we got home I took pictures of them both with this one and saved it on my phone with the caption of 'perfect', so next time he gets sick I can compare back to this photo. The 'perfect' still looks very red through this otoscope. So I'm not sure if I could recommend it? I guess if you had some experience with ears and knew a good bit what you were looking for, it might work great. The camera function is great to be able to save pictures and refer back. I know this company makes lots of non-medical cameras, so maybe there is something to the shade of light? I don't know enough about it to know if that's a thing.Short answer: functionality works great...as a diagnostic tool, maybe not so much?

Great little tool!
I love this camera. When my ears feel plugged up, I grab this and clean them out. I really like all of the different attachments and tools this comes with and the video it provides is very clear.Although I've never used this to clean my children's ears before, I was able to use the camera part to verify my daughter had an ear infection in one ear before calling the doctor.
