Work fantastic. One battery is enough to mow my quarter acre lawn if the grass isn’t very tall. After a rainy season when it’s not possible to mow for a week have to use both batteries. And still get some juice left.Ordered two of them to replace original Gmax batteries. One of the batteries was defective after first use. Had to file a claim and they sent a replacement for it. Will give five stars for their excellent service.At the end of the summer batteries still perform great.

I purchased a generic battery and it exceeded my expectations in every way. Not only was it high quality, but it was also priced significantly lower than the comparable name brand product.From the moment I started using it, I noticed a huge improvement in its performance compared to the name brand product I had previously used. It also lasted much longer, saving me time and money in the long run.I highly recommend this product to anyone looking for a superior alternative to the more expensive name brand option. Additionally, I was impressed by the level of customer service I received from the company. I did a discharge test on this battery and it showed an AH rating of 3.966 Ah. The GreenWorks 4Ah measured at 4.059 AH on the same test (1A discharge down to 33.0V). So it's not a larger capacity than the Greenworks 4Ah, but it's the same capacity at half the cost. It's a great deal.It worked fine to power by 21" self-propelled 40V GreenWorks mower and cut just as much grass as the GreenWorks 4Ah did (half muy 1/3 acre yard). Worked fine in the leaf blower, and string trimmer as well.I got two of the GreenWorks 4Ah batteries with the mower and those two are just enough to cut my 1/3 acre yard. But it just starts to run out near the end with only the two batteries. I bought this battery to make sure I always had plenty of power for the yard and it's worked like a charm. But since I have only used it once to cut my yard, and I have nothing to report about how long it will last over time. Most of these standard Lithium-Ion batteries will last for many 100 charge cycles, and I don't expect anything other from this one. As with all Lithium-Ion batteries, don't let them get too hot by storing them in a hot shed, or hot car. High temps will ruin any Lithium Ion Battery.This is the 20-cell (18650's) version of the GreenWorks type battery, just like the Greenworks 4Ah, so it weighs the same as the GreenWorks 4Ah, but nearly twice the weight of the smaller 2Ah which only has 10 cells.. So when you use the hand-held tools, this larger battery makes your tools heavier than the smaller 2Ah battery, just as when you use the GreenWorks 4Ah in the handheld tools. If weight is an issue, you might want to stick with the lower Ah battery for the handheld tools. My wife loves our GreenWorks blower because it's light and easy to use compared to our old gas leaf blower she would never use because it was too heavy. But she might not like our blower as much if she was using this heavier 4Ah battery in it. I have 6 batteries now so I have all I need to match the battery to work.The Greenworks Charger is a 2A charger, so these batteries take about 2 hours to re-charge when empty.Some of the GreenWorks batteries include a nice extra feature of a USB power port to charge your phone, or power other USB-powered devices when you don't have power. This one does not (it doesn't claim to).

I love my Greenworks electric mower. I like that I can use multiple batteries sequentially and mow to my heart's delight. However, there was a mixup this year when I ordered this battery. What was sent was a Greenworks brand battery, and it does not work at all. The Greenworks brand battery will not hold a charge for more than 3-4 minutes, so my mower only mows 3-4 minute. Regrettably, Amazon now refuses to replace this defective battery, because I didn't return it soon enough. I received this last month, purchased July 2, 2023, and today is Aug. 17, 2023. This review is a word of caution for folks to be sure they send you what you ordered,, and if you are returning it, do so quickly. Such a rip off.

This battery replacement fit my Greenworks charger and mower just like the original. My mower is over 3 years old. I bought this replacement to supplement the original 4.0 battery I still have, so I can complete my small yard without having to recharge 1 battery. It charged right up out of the box then worked perfectly. When it ran out amidst mowing the older battery kicked right in and I was able to finish. Can't comment yet on battery life or longevity but so far so good!

I was a bit shocked when looking for a second battery for my 40v blower. The manufacture batteries are expensive !! 2/3rd the price of what I paid for blower/battery/charger combo. I did some research and found this one. Not only was it almost 1/2 the cost of the manufacture version it was a 5000mAh versus the 4000mAh manufacture unit. Charged it up when it arrived and has worked flawlessly after many uses and charges (we have LOTS of oak trees with LOTS of leaves) - perfect fit and noticeably longer life. If you own any Greenworks 40V items get this battery !!!!!

This battery works perfectly as a replacement for the original Greenworks battery that came with my mower. Bought it as a second battery as I can’t get a full mowing with just the original battery.
