These are good quality and inexpensive knives. They are great for tomatoes. If you want to slice a cherry tomato into 4 slices, not a problem for this knife. If you eat giant homegrown tomatoes you might want to break out the bread knife because of the shorter blade length on this knife. I definitely love this knife for quick easy slicing.

I bought one of these from Fadel's in Charlotte in 1986 for use as a fruit knife for professional bar use at restaurants where I worked. The sous-chef at one restaurant saw me getting ready to prep fruit garnishes for my shift at the bar and asked if I would like to use "a sharp knife instead". I assured him that he probably didn't have one sharper than mine. He thought I was using a tableware steak knife. This knife is the best fruit and vegetable prep knife that I've ever owned, and I have several nice little Henckels non-serrated knives that look the part and are great knives, but can't beat my Victorinox for handling well and fitting my hand. I still have that knife after 40 years and use it regularly, though I no longer tend bar, I still use this sharp, easily handled knife for home kitchen chores. I'm buying a new one, not because my old one isn't still sharp, but out of nostalgia, I suppose. It will go into my collection of knives just in case my old one ever gets misplaced.

This is my third one of these knives. I bought two a number of years ago, and they are very versatile in the kitchen. Still useful, but wanted a new one for slicing tomatoes very thin. They are great for cutting veggies, ciabatta bread, and also perfect as a steak knife, too.

Original one I have was received as a gift. So impressed that I now gift it as well. Incredibly sharp. REALLY sharp. So warn your recipient ahead of time to watch their fingers. This utility knife is the best kitchen knife I've had and I've been cooking for a long, long, long time. It just glides thru anything it cuts. No jagged edges. Smooth cuts. And every inch of it is SHARP as can be. Recently ordered the Swiss knife version so I could safely take it on picnics, tailgating and other outdoor adventures. So impressed with Victorinox knives that I'm contemplating the steak knives to see if they will be better than the ones we have. This utility knife is definitely a great knife. Highly recommend for personal use and to give as a gift..

Don't handle this like an old serrated steak knife. It's sharp! Feels good in the hand, light, sturdy, fit in the kitchen knife block perfectly. Sliced through biscuits like it was the butter to go on them. Looking forward to using it for many other things. Very good price for the edge it delivers.

Nice product but need to be very carefull while chopping and I got cut couple of times already.

I have had a white Victorinox knife for 20 years, and have wanted another because it is just so very useful! Fits my hand well. So happy to finally find it on Amazon! Should have looked here sooner! Lol It IS very sharp, so be careful!
