I've had a small white plastic tray for a long time, but it's had its day and was getting very wobbly. I compared several models of tables and this one came out on top. It's very sturdy, I have loads more room for all my bits and pieces and the extra small tray on the right is perfect for my husband's cuppa to sit on. We have our chairs next to each other but because he is left handed, he has to lift his hot cuppa across himself from his table on his right. Now he can sit his tea on my table, and use his left (correct) hand to lift his cup. Much safer. On the main tray there are built-in cup/glass holders, one on each side, and although I was a bit unsure if my glass of water would be steady sitting in the holder. I needn't have worried because it's actually better and safer than my previous arrangement. I'd lost count the number of tumblers of water and cups of coffee I've knocked over because it's so easy to do on a flat surface. But I'm very hopeful that this might be a thing of the past now. There is only one thing wrong with the set-up - and that is that I'm of short stature, 5 foot, and even with the tray at its lowest level, it's still quite high for me. So I think I will have to buy a cushion for my chair to raise me up to the right height. But I'm really happy with my new table. 5* well deserved!

surface is smooth items can slide a bit - fine with table mat or anti slip mats. otherwise an excellent overbed table, adaptable height and tilt table top, cup holder side stays permanently level. Wheels make it very easy to move around furniture and it slides easily under a bed, and there are brakes for the wheels when not in motion. Fairly to assemble I used the spanner supplied but recommend using a better spanner I had difficulty with one of the wheels but managed it in the end on my own. if I can do it anyone can.

Threads on upper assembly appear to have a white covering which has fouled the locking nuts. Amazon have asked me to return unit for a refund but as I can't repack it now that's not possible. Seller has not replied to my request for help. Had I been able to assemble this unit I would have been pleased with the design and quality of materials so I am doubly disappointed.

I definitely bought the best table for the purpose. I am using a non-slip mat to compensate for the risk of slips, but that may well be sensible regardless of the table bought. The great thing about this table, with the extra length, is that it extends over more than the centre of a single bed. There are no real negatives but, what could be improved is the method of fixing, with the two bolts holding the main upright needing significant torque in order to provide sufficient security. So I had to use a ring spanner instead of the woefully small spanner provided. The height adjustment is easy to use, with seemingly no risk of the table rising or falling unexpectedly, and the tilt function, if used, is also easy.

Purchased 18 Oct 2024 Likes - Quality of build; not too difficult to assemble as a 78 year old, prompt delivery Major Dislike - very slippery surface top for crockery etc. Therefore having to regretfully return product. both myself and wife a Parkinson sufferer (The principal user have experimented with using a non-slip mat, which works fine on our car dashboard) to resolve problem. Also lips around surface of table are inadequate to stop items plates etc.slipping off.

Fair Price

It was a bit concerning after reading all the reviews, but I thought we would give it a try. Turns out it's pretty good. We bought this for a family member who is bed-bound, and the original table we used wasn't big enough. This one provides the space as well as the ability to adjust the angle if needed. The only downside is the material. It does feel a bit cheap for the price you are paying, but the rest is good and I would recommend it.
