Durable and it works!
I needed a reliable portable jump starter for my hybrid vehicle's 12v battery, which will not start if left unused for over a week (Lx 400h v-6). I found Clore was rec'd by several sources, Car & Driver, and this model looked simple and durable; many other jump starters on Amz looked cheap and users complained of bad usb charging systems. This one requires a regular extension cord to charge, but much prefered over a usb-c. It arrived nearly fully charged, took about 5 hours top off the charge though (very slow), and then I started my hybrid right up after it showed fully charged; the Clore still showed nearly 100% charge. It's durable looking, and heavy, but good quality clamps and a simple charge-reader (sry, not a mechanic, but it can be used to read your car battery's charge, when the car is on and connected to the Clore). No USB connections on this model, but it has a 12v female (cigarette lighter jack) for your accessories/USB adapters. Stoked on this purchase, and even more by Clore's lifelong repair anything coupon.

โญโญโญโญโญ Great jump starter for everyday use
Iโm a tow truck driver and keep this jump starter with me for work. It has been a great tool to have when I come across vehicles with dead batteries. It has plenty of power to get vehicles started and has been reliable every time Iโve needed it. The cables are a good length, the clamps feel heavy duty, and the unit itself is built well enough to handle being kept in a work truck. I also like not having to depend on another vehicle just to get someone started. I included a picture of me using it to jump start a Jeep on the job. Itโs one of those tools that you donโt appreciate until you need it, and this one has definitely earned a permanent spot in my truck. Very happy with it and would definitely recommend it for anyone who needs a dependable jump starter. โญโญโญโญโญ

Will start an 4.2L motor with no battery hooked up to the motor
I originally owned a jump box like this for many years and it never failed me. Unfortunately my house got flooded with salt water and that killed my jump box, salt water kills batteries and electronics. I tried one of the new smaller lighter 2000 Peak Amp Lithium-Ion Jump Starter from H F. Rite after I purchased it my Ford Explorer had a total alternator failure, It did start the car twice but could not start it a third time in 15 minutes. Tow company tried one of those little packs and it could not power the electronics in the car to get it on the flatbed tow truck, had to use a big jump starter. There is no reserve in those little light weight jump starters, they cannot start totally dead vehicles with bigger motors. Yes this starter pack is a little heavy at 18 pounds with a convenient built in handle compared to those little lightweight 1 pound jump starter packs. This is the equivalent to the average grocery bag with a bag of sugar, flour and some canned goods. There is a reason it is heavy, it has a big rechargeable battery inside of it that is capable of multiple jump starts. It can power your bilge pump to pump out a boat AND start your engine if your battery is dead I gave this Jump-N Carry the ultimate test by starting a 4.2L cold engine with no battery, it had no problem. Try that with those little jump packs. After owning this for awhile I checked the voltage with a good digital voltmeter, it lost .1 volt or 1/10 of a volt after sitting for over 3 months which is nothing. Built in charger works great and will not over charge the unit if plugged in all the time. I choose to not leave it plugged in 24 hours a day as it is not necessary to do so. To charge the Jump Starter you take an ordinary extension that has a 3 prong single female end, plug the cord into the male connector on the jump pack, NO SPECIAL CORD NEEDED, everyone has one, if you don't, you should have one as they are the safest type of extension cord to use. For the money and the ability to start anything you might have, this is the best Jump starter compared to those little light weight jump packs.

It will jump anything you can think of. You can even jump a car without a battery.
After using many of these borrowed from other techs, I finally bought one. They are the best. Hands down. I've never found a vehicle it didn't crank right over. The best part is that it came fully charged. Sure it's a little heavy compared to the Lithium ones, but this is much more durable and don't burst the cells on the first jump. The 12v port is surprisingly nice to have. Lithium jump packs don't hold a candle to a lead acid jump pack. And it's serviceable if the battery ever stops holding a charge.

While it did do the job...
Review Update: I decided to bump this device up to four-stars. Upon even further very closely reading the instructions, the device is in fact charged when the Green "CHARGED" light goes on. The instructions explicitly state that you can leave the jump-starter plugged in and it appears that the DC power gauge won't ever reach the far right of the dial because it's not supposed to. It's a power meter, not a meter that lets you know how "full" it is like a gas tank meter. In other words, the needle at the 3/4 mark means it has that much electrical power--which is in fact its max possible storable voltage. This is also why they advise charging it after each use because stored power will eventually dissipate. The only added bit of confusion was when charging it via the provided 12 volt cigarette adaptor. They advise NOT leaving it charging once it's "full", which, from an empty state would take about 5 hours. I chose to not give this product five-star because of the instructions were just not as clear as they could be (there's no diagram, etc.) Original Review: Before I purchased this device, I did extensive research on the Lithium jump starters as well as alternate lead battery jump starters options with other bells and whistles like a tire inflator, light, etc. These are my findings as of the past couple days (Dec 4th & 5th) that hopefully will be useful to you. I have a small turbo-charged 4 cyl vehicle. The battery is 3 years old & the water levels are perfect. Unfortunately, I've had two jump starts from the auto club recently and it appears the battery won't hold a charge, despite driving around for better than 30 minutes each time thereafter. I chose to buy this product because it was nearly half the price of the top of the line Lithium charging product. Granted, this is larger and heavier, and while it wasn't just a price factor for me, price was a large part of taking a chance on it. I also bought it because the auto club mechanic advised me to invest in this type over the smaller Lithiums. I also chose this product because I liked the beefier alligator clips as well as the DC meter gauge than what the Lithium equivalents provide. I first read all the one-star complaints then read the five-star raves. My issue was that if the auto club jump start worked and I no longer had a battery concern, it could be months before discovering the need to use this one I purchased in order to verify it does in fact work, and thus would miss my window to return it. Unfortunately, I did not have to wait long to test it because the battery did in fact die again. The instructions on this product strongly advise you charge the device fully before first using it. This task is a bit cumbersome to do because it has a 2-prong "male" setup right on the device, into which you must plug an extension cord of your own. (or use the provided self-enclosed cigarette lighter cable, but who has a cig lighter anymore in their car??). Fortunately, I had a household extension cord available, and what's thoughtful about this device's design is the area into which you must plug the extension cord is somewhat widely recessed to accomodate an extension cord with multiple "female" receptacles on the end. I thought that was really nice. So before I began charging the device I pressed the red button to see exactly how much charge the battery came with. The reason I give this only three and not four stars is because after charging it for about 7 hours there was no appreciable or recognizable increase in voltage capacity when I pressed the red button again. Moreover, there are two lights and once I plugged it in to charge, the "CHARGED" light lit up. The "CHARGING" light never lit up. I don't know if it's because it had a "full charge" from the factory or if for some reason the device was not in fact charging. Either way, the "Charging" light was not lighting and the DC electric gauge indicated that it was three-quarters charged. The next day (today) I proceeded to use the device. The instructions clearly state to attach the Positive (+...red) clip to the Positive (+...red) battery terminal first. Then you are to attach the Negative (-...black) clip to the metal frame of your car (this is to prevent possibly inadvertently switching the clips b/c sometimes a battery can get so dirty you can't see the difference between Positive and Negative in the dark and could explode the battery). My car totally did not start like this. I even took a picture and posted it here to show I was connecting it per the instructions. Now, having had piece of junk cars in the past that often needing jumping, I decided to go old school and connect red-to-red and black-to-black (i.e. not connecting the black to the frame). Let me tell you, my car started up lickity split that way! It took no prisoners and did not blink an eye. I then proceeded to drive it around for thirty minutes, stopped to run an errand, and my battery yet again had died, which clearly tells me something more is going on with it. Fortunately, I brought the jump start device with me and I did not find myself stranded. My next stop objective is to find an auto parts store that can test the ability of the battery to hold a charge. I'm really happy with this product so far, with the exception that I could not discern if it was in fact recharging itself. This could be a problem down the road, but in the meantime it will have bailed me out a few times until potentially getting a new battery. Personally, I feel that if you know how to properly inflate your car tires or pump gas yourself, you should be able to easily use this device. Oh, one other really nice thing is that the manufacturer gives you an $85 coupon valid for one repair and shipping costs back to you. Of course, it's so heavy it might end up costing you $50 to ship it to them. haha

Best jump pack
Amazing jump pack, itโs heavy-duty and works well, it isnโt light, but it fits easily in trunk. I actually leave it in my car all winter and it never fails if i havenโt used it in a while Iโll charge it up but it recharges it self after you start your car if you leave it attached for a few minutes. Great value and hasnโt let me down yet, I had a battery they need to be replaced and couldnโt get one for almost a week and this thing kept my car starting until I could replace the battery

Simple to use, easy to work with, hasn't failed me once. Highly recommended.
How exciting can a battery boost system be? I guess that depends on how badly you need it! I have a couple of other battery boost systems, but most are underpowered or annoying to use, with long cables or weird charging processes. This Jump-N-Carry is not annoying at all. It's a relatively light unit, with a nice handle, and about 3-foot cables that wrap around built-in holders that then hold the jumper clips in a neat package. You charge the Jump-N-Carry by plugging it in to the wall using an extension cord (not supplied) and the unit shuts off automatically (despite comments to the contrary!). A light shows when the Jump-N-Carry is charging and when fully charged. I've used the Jump-N-Carry several times already, including in the middle of a snow storm to jump a tractor battery to help clear snow. You simply unwind the cables and attache the clips, then start the vehicle normally. No buttons to push, nothing special to do. Every time the Jump-N-Carry has boosted the vehicles I've used it on without a hitch, after which you simply disconnect, wrap the jumper cables, and plug it in to recharge if the battery state is getting low. Despite wicked cold -40C winds killing the tractor battery in my last boost, the Jump-N-Carry required a single turn of the key to bring the tractor to life. It has done the same for my SUV and several stranded motorists, too. This is one of those devices you don't appreciate until you need it. I keep one in the garage, on a charger, and now have one in my vehicle for helping others when they stall. Well made, easy to use, simple in operation, these chargers have been flawless for me, and strongly recommended.

Great product/great customer service
I purchased this September 2024 had no issues it was a great unit and served it purpose until 11 months later it showed full charge but start anything and when hooked to a battery right from full charge and you press button it shows pack drained. I habe friends with same unit not issues . So seems like a great product just I have a one off. Talked to customer service and they were very responsive and acted quickly to get me a new one. Definitely will buy again in the future . Great customer service

Not bad as a power supply
Not bad as a power supply. I've used it to boost my car once and it worked fine but I use it almost daily to charge my phone. I have one of those USB car lighter adapters and it works fine with that. The unit is a little thin on features. For the price I would expect a few more perks but if it lasts a long time I can look past that. It seems durable but I haven't dropped it yet.It also might be a little heavy for some. The charging plug is a major design flaw. You can only plug certain plugs into it to charge it. The plug does not telescope (which I thought it would when I looked at the picture) so any extension cord with multiple outlets will probably not fit. only one of four of mine fit. The one that was least heavy duty. I wouldn't have been very happy having to buy a new plug for the unit considering the price. to the sellers, if you are reading this. In marketing, you always want to under promise and over deliver on what you are selling. I feel you didn't do this with this product. I feel like I got less than what I bought so maybe you want to add more features to this or change the marketing strategy. At its base level though, It does what it is intended to do regarding a battery booster. As a power supply, I'm not as satisfied (and I think that is a market this unit could pursue if it had the right features)

Best and toughest ...don't waste you time with the others unless it's just for show.
Obviously the same booster that MAC tools has been selling for years. In our auto garage we've owned probably 6-8 over the years...there is NO comparison! We've all tried the little ones and they're ok for a one-time quick boost that saves your butt. However this is a heavy duty, cranks forever, fall off the car onto the floor and keep going unit!! It can take the place of your battery and keep you running if your car isn't charging!! The little ones can't do that! Industrial strenth. Not sure if they still offer it but had an incredible warranty as well ! Heavy ! Don't be fooled by testers- this is the best charging plug! Jam an extension cord into it and your done..no adapters and mickey mouse wires and plugs that all look the same.
