Always preferred L&P as my Beef Marinade/Sauce
I always have enjoyed L&P's American Version which is considered a Burger Booster and I use it for stews, steak, and as advertised; to boost my burgers. It was recently discovered that there is an actual Original Worcestershire Sauce was still being sold to Worcestershire, UK and we get some kind of Americanized version because we need to be cheap. For not much more than what was spent on the American Version- I got to have the real version. I find it personally superior in every way (As I do with Mexican Coke). It is slightly sweeter but finishes Spicier than the American one. They both do have about the same texture. The real version looks more genuine in it's labeling considering that it is addressed to Her Majesty (So , it better be good). If you like the American Version- You will like this one but feel like you have a little more Class.

Super Flavor! The Real Stuff
Yes, it's the real thing! This is the genuine UK-made Lea & Perrins, and it tastes so much better than what we buy at supermarkets in America. Most people don't realize it's a totally different recipe, with a rich, smooth flavor that complements even the most delicate foods, meats and seafood. Grab a bottle of your USA-made L&P and compare the ingredients to these of the real UK product: Malt Vinegar (from Barley), Spirit Vinegar, Molasses, Sugar, Salt, Anchovies (Fish), Tamarind Extract, Onions, Garlic, Spice, Flavourings. Once I tasted this, I just couldn't buy the American version ever again. Please Note: This bottle is 290ml, not 290g as indicated. Liquids are not measured in grams.

UK Version is different rather than better.
This product arrived wrapped in newspaper and the lid was slightly damaged. The sauce is made with malt vinegar instead of the white vinegar in the US edition. We did a side by side taste test using small shot glasses. The UK version is cloudier and a tiny bit thicker. It definitely has a slightly different taste. We decided we like the taste of the US version too. No clear winner in our house so we are using both.

The Real McCoy!
This is the real stuff! Very Happy with everything about this purchase. Not only was it packaged perfectly, it was also received faster than many items that I've bought from the USA. Amazing, since this was shipped from Worcestershire, England. There is no doubt that this taste better than the products made in the USA. Don't get me wrong. The stuff made in the USA is still better than other brands. But, like so many things. The type of ingredients do make a huge difference to me. Kinda like Mexican Coke made with cane sugar tastes differently than the american corn sugar version. Some people just can't taste the difference. My daughter and I can. Malt Vinegar made from Barley tastes different than distilled white vinegar. You can't argue that point! Cane sugar tastes better than corn syrup. If you have good taste buds, you owe it to yourself to try the "real mccoy". The seller is "on the ball" I'm buying more. ๐

Worth every penny
This was exactly what I remembered in smell and flavour from the UK. The real thing has a much more complex aroma and taste. The one shipped to me was shipped from Ireland, wrapped well, came quickly and undamaged. We certainly shall be buying it here!

A Better Version Of A Great Sauce
I use Worcestershire Sauce frequently and was unaware until recently that the US version was different from the UK version. When I discovered this I immediately searched for and ordered some and I was very pleased with the results. The taste definitely has more tang to it and is stronger without being overwhelming. (I actually sat in my kitchen with a bottle of the local stuff and the UK variant and did taste tests between the two using a spoon.) If you're the kind of person who frequently looks at a food and thinks, "This needs some (more) Worcestershire Sauce" then there is no question that this is the product for you. Even if you're not fanatical about it like I am you should consider treating yourself to a bottle just for the experience.

No corn syrup
I've always preferred the general flavor of the Lea and Perrins brand Worcestershire sauce to other brands, but I've found that I react to corn syrup so had to find an alternative. I found out that the Worcestershire sauce distributed by Lea and Perrins in other countries use sugar instead, so I ordered this from Canada and (separately) a "special edition" from England. All three taste very similar: almost identical. But at a more discerning level the US sauce is "brash", the Canadian sauce is "smooth" and the special edition sauce is "smooth and rich". So there IS a difference, but you might or not taste it depending upon what you're using it in or on. I annually use very little Worcestershire sauce, so have decided to stock the special edition -- so that when I do use it I'm using the best-tasting (albeit most expensive) variant. But if I used a lot annually I'd stock the Canadian variant which is between the other two in price.

Leaky bottle.
Ordered this. It came well packed in bubble wrap. However, when unwrapped, there was Worcestershire Sauce on the bubble wrap and there was less sauce in the bottle than expected. Clearly a leak. Not sure what the issue was since the seal was not obviously broken. Clearly this is not satisfactory.

The sauce!
I really wanted to taste the original so that I could compare to the ones that are available locally . Tried couple of different ones, but this was the best, well balanced and with a little spicy kick. I bought it by accident, but I guess it was my destiny to have it.

Best Worcestershire Sauce!
This is by far, the best Worcestershire sauce I've tasted in ages! It is authentic and really elevates any dish! It provides a lovely umami, tangy flavour and has a distinctive fragrance that adds depth to anything you're making. Add it to sauces, gravies, curries, or even as a marinade to chicken. It is very versatile and can be used in Indian, Chinese, Asian, and continental dishes. I used it in combination with soya sauce and honey to make homemade Teriyaki sauce! So delicious! You get plenty of it for the price you pay, and you only need a splash for it for any dish so it's really great value for money! Comes in a lovely, sturdy glass bottle that's leak proof and keeps the flavour intact.

The only brand
Whether you call it Wooster sauce of Wooster-cester-shire sauce, the only brand has to be Lea & Perrins. I got this on amazon as my local supermarket doesn't stock this size bottle. A big bottle makes you feel you can be more generous with it - and you should be as it's great in so many things. Tomato juice would be bereft without it. It has a great heritage too!
