SUNEX TOOLS 433MXL 3/4" Extra Long XXX Impact Socket 33mm

I’m a commercial road service technician I remove a lot of 33 mm lug, nuts off big rigs. I carry a DeWalt DCF964 3/4” cordless impact wrench with for situations where my airlines couldn’t reach or winter where airlines freeze up or just for the convenience of not having to drag around an air hose for my air impact. DCF 964 will remove pretty much anything but I was having issues being able to reach the lug nuts on the rear of a semi due to the hub being in the way, so I needed a deeper deep socket, snap on sells one for like 200 bucks but in this economy, I wasn’t going to spend that kind of money on one socket. So in my search for a similar socket like the snap on but at an affordable price I found this sunex socket. I was a little bit skeptical at first because it looks like a socket welded to an extension and I wasn’t sure how that would affect torque. I know if it was a regular extension and socket it would reduce torque significantly but since this isn’t that and it is a one piece socket it does not seem to affect torque at all, actually with the weight of this socket, it seems to improve torque due to inertia. Overall, it’s a great socket for removing 33 mm lug nuts i’ve been using it for several months so far on a daily basis and I’ve had no issues.

I read a review that was great one reasone being don't need an extension to get gun past axle hub, and they were right. Fits perfect, gun misses hub completely and less cumbersome being one solid unit. Definitely recommend

Great quality socket

If your using a short anvil impact gun on heavy duty duty rear wheels. Then you know there always the chance that the axle cap and/or hub will make contact with your impact gun. Causing damage to the gun cover to even cracking it. This tool solves the problem and you don't loose any torque. When I would add a 3 inch extension to a 33mm deep impact socket. My Ingersoll Rand 261 impact would get the bolts to about 450-475 FTLBS of torque, not to mention that the shop has a poor air system. With this extra long socket my gun is getting the bolts to 500 plus FTLBS of torque. This is the perfect tool, and again no loss of torque. 12/26/2020_ I've used this item extensively since I received it. To all mechanics this Sunex is the way to go. Probably the best tool I purchased in 2020.

It's not 33mm

Use this with my 3/4" snap on mg1250 for pup trailer lug nuts. Works better then using an extension on a socket. Gets the lug nuts to 500# a lot faster. Time is money. Wears about the same as higher end sockets.

Great for lug nuts on tractors paired with my Aircat 1400 3/4 gun. Rips lug nuts off with zero problems, gets them tightened down to 500 ft/lbs easily. Nicely weighted so you know it's not cheap crappy metal, plus it's between $30-$50 cheaper on here vs. the tool trucks. Long one piece design takes an absolute thrashing with zero problem while keeping your air gun away from the hub so you won't damage your air gun. 12/10, a definite heavy-duty mechanic must-have!

Great for taking wheels on and off semis. No extension needed.

So much better than using a socket with extension. Fits great on the lug nuts for my Kenworth.

I use this in our family run tire shop. Works great on drive axles on tractors. I also think the added weight helps to transfer the shock from the impact wrench. Keeps my milwaulkee 3/4 from getting banged up against the axle. an extension would absorb much of the energy from the loose fit, this is superior. Now if someone made this with an external ring like an ingersoll rand power socket, that would be perfect.

Works great for semi tires. Good quality.
