This is the best carne machaca that is sold on Amazon I have tried others but this is the best We are on our third bag.

I love machaca con juevos. This does the job well. My only complaint is that there a some hard chunks. I try to sort them out and shred or crush them, but usually still end up having to spit out a few hard unappetizingly hard chunks.

This stuff is fantastic. So many options for dehydrating and incorporating into an almost endless amount of dishes. Can also be eaten straight from the bag as it is very much like a shredded beef jerky. I first tried this when I was looking for high protein, low net carb and extremely low sugar items. This fit all of those categories. I've found a thousand and one uses for it, some that make it just ridiculously quick and easy to add both protein and flavor to a dish.

Don't know why people are putting bad reviews or things saying that it is too dry. If you don't know how to prepare carne seca then don't buy it. Burrito de machaca, comes out excellent but again you have to know how to hydrate it. Keep in mind, that it has to be hydrated while cooking, either but onion sweat or some kind of fluid. I just prepared this morning a Machaca burrito and all I used was Onion, Tomato and Serrano along with some water to make the onion sweat faster, the I dumped a fist of Carne Seca, let it hydrate and the dump some beaten eggs on top of it. Mixed well and voalaaa, you have the perfect Machaca with product. Two big thumbs up in my part! Don't know how to cook it? Go back to the drawing board, follow this suggestion or go to Culinary School and maybe you will learn some basic things! Just my two cents!
