I was disappointed in the quality of this product! The case was made of heavy cardboard like a shipping box, with a thin molded plastic insert. The corners of the case easily split like a board game box cover. The latching features were good, but the case’s hinged side was connected by only paper. It ripped easily and became unusable as a case. I was able to reinforce the paper hinged side and the case corner with clear duct tape. Just not what I expected for the price!

Are the markers dry erase?

No the markers are water based. I got this kit for my granddaughters birthday in July. She's still using it and it's now December. They've lasted quite a long time for daily use. I think I got my money's worth with this kit. I hope that helps you
