If you want one that's gonna last this is the one it's extremely sturdy, the clip is strong but not too strong its easy to get your phone in and out but isn't so easy that your phone will slip out intact it has rubber grips on the tip of the grip that actually hold your phone straight as well as being a grip, it's a very sturdy but still bendable "stand" it is kinda hard to bend it and move it but, that just means if your setting it in a single spot and keeping it there, you won't have to keep setting it up you can set it up once and leave it I got mine for my wife cause she likes to watch her shows on her phone while she smokes so now she doesn't have to keep leaning the phone on the arm of the couch and dealing with it falling over all the especially since I have high anxiety and bounce my leg alot

bought this bc ive just been resting my phone against something at my desk and my charger reaches across my room so sometimes i end up accidentally yanking the cord and launching my phone so i needed something that could withstand that force and not drop my phone LOL honestly really like it but THIS ARM IS HARD TO MOVE AROUND. from table to device, i measured the arm to be around 36 inches but it really doesnt feel like its that long because of the curves you can create the arm: not for the weak LOL - i wouldnt consider myself weak but i had to leverage it against my body and use both arms to bend it from its original position in the packaging. not impossible but just harder than expected but that does mean that the arm is strong enough to hold heavy devices. sooo i wouldnt necessarily recommend if you need to move it often. does make some noise when you move it around because its just so strong. the table clamp: plastic and its stable and doesnt budge when i grabbed and jiggled it to try n move it - my desk is on wheels and i moved my whole desk with it HAHA super easy install clip device clamp: i love this clip compared to the retractable ones on the market. i love the ball rotator thing, super convenient especially because the arm is stiff AHHAA opens far enough to fit a device that is 2 inches MIN and 4 inches (MAYBE 4.25) MAX. has silicone grips so that it doesnt damage the device and doesnt let it slide or get pulled out, its super secure. EDIT: update after months of use, i love this thing and move it around fairly often. its still stable and strong but i can just pull it with one hand to a completely new angle if i needed to. it really is just that initial breaking in that is the hardest. although because of the length of the arm, if you happened to yank on the cord while your device is charging in it, itll bounce up n down HAHA i do find that sometimes i have to take my device out and flip the clip upside down if i want to get it at a certain angle. so the ball joint isnt COMPLETELY flexible at all angles but its a very minor inconvenience so id still recommend.

Seems great. It’s very stiff so stays in place. I use it for making sewing videos and it’s the only one that works well for closeups, and easier to position than the boom mount on my tripod. I use it on a glass topped table and the clamp is very secure. Read the reviews. It’s prone to break. I’ll be careful not to bend it back and forth in the same place, and will be gentle with the plastic phone clamp. Good value for me at $12.17. I ordered the "classic" version although I meant to order the 33" one. This does not have the "upgraded ball clamp" but the phone clamp does rotate. Might be nice to have a ball clamp but that is probably a weak point, and they are often not very stable. My photo shows that it is 28" from the phone clamp to the table top. That would be shorter if you are clamping on a very thick table or board.

I love this thing. It's great in bed, in the car, on the sofa, anywhere you'd need to sit and read from your phone. It's got a sturdy arm and the base has a great grip that doesn't leave marks on the surface whenever you place it, even when fully tightened. It's super easy to move around, so you don't have to worry about keeping it in one location all the time. I'm glad I bought two, one for me and one for my wife.

Anyone complaining that this phone holder is too difficult to move, too stiff, or has some other problem with it is, in my opinion, simply not using it correctly. I honestly don’t know how this holder could be made much better. The clamping mechanism is absolutely excellent. It grips incredibly tightly, and I have moved this thing back and forth countless times—from my garage when I’m woodworking or working on my bikes, to my bedroom and onto my nightstand—and it clamps securely every single time. I have never had it slip or lose its grip. And the stiffness of the neck is actually one of my favorite things about it. It’s stiff enough to hold the phone exactly where you put it, but still flexible enough to position it exactly where you want it. If you’re lying in bed, you can position your phone in front of you, rest your arm comfortably, and scroll, tap, and rotate the phone without having to hold it. It honestly feels like you have some kind of magical ability to make your phone float in midair. 😂 I’ve bought hundreds and hundreds of products on Amazon over the past two years. I’m honestly probably a little over-the-top when it comes to buying things, and I research and study products pretty thoroughly before I purchase them. With that said, this phone holder is easily the #1 product I have purchased on Amazon so far. That’s not something I say lightly. If you’re on the fence about buying it, I can genuinely recommend it. The clamp is extremely secure, the neck holds its position exactly where you put it, and the whole thing has performed flawlessly for me. Absolutely worth the money.

TL;DR: I wish I could give this item a higher rating, as they hold devices securely and stay put, but over the long-term, the plastic has snapped on every single one. Pros: - Long neck that can reach many different areas and will stay put. - Screw-on compression base that can open wide enough to fit most standard (vertical or horizontal) surfaces. - [Old Design] Has spacing between the handle and the holder, so that it can hold other small items (such as glasses). - [New Design] Much easier to open and appears to be a bit more durable (more on that below). - Has handled all our phones like a champ: from "take half your face" chonkers to iddy bitty "Zoolander" models. Cons: - [Old Design] Over time, the plastic holder appears to become brittle and snaps (sometimes at the base, sometimes at the bridge). - [New Design] While they've replaced the dinky bridge with a more uniform design, the plastic still becomes brittle causing the holder to snap. We've been buying these since 2020, but part of the reason we've been buying them is that the plastic holder will eventually give out. The longest a holder has lasted is 3 years, the shortest is just under a year, but inevitably with daily use, they have all snapped. Despite this, if purchased on sale, I would still recommend the new design, as it seems to last longer, and it's better than other models we've tested that either don't hold the device in place or have given out much sooner. A recommendation to the manufacturer/designer: if you can find a way to make the holder modular/detachable without sacrificing it's ability to hold things in place, and sell that separately for a cheaper price, that would be nice, as it's a shame to have to throw these out when the base and neck are perfectly functional.

I like the sturdiness and thickness. The handle is great my hand don’t get pinched taking the phone off. Other ones I’ve had broke on the neck when turning the phone.

This thing is awesome. I like to play my Nintendo Ds & Switch in bed and after a while, holding my consoles or even phone in bed makes my carpal tunnel flare up. This week I was particularly feeling stressed and sick and just wanted to curl up in bed with my heating pad, my favorite plushies, kitties, play some games, and relax. Perfect time to get a phone mount of some sort so at the very least i can watch youtube on my phone while I play. I skimmed thru all the products and just chose this one on a whim because it was available for free same day delivery w/ Prime. Usually I mull over reviews but the window to order was getting low so i just bought it. I was a little worried because I had gotten something a bit similar from a local market but it was not sturdy and fell apart after a month. BUT THIS ONE. IS. AMAZING. It exceeded my expectations as soon ad i took it out of the box and tried to move the shape of the neck. This thing is STUUUURDY. took actual arm strength to bend it, but just know for something like thus, that is good! it holds shape and stays very much so in place. The thing that really got me excited was that it is big enough to hold my switch screen (it holds my ds but i haven’t really tried to play it while using this thing, i don't think it would do much good because id still be using my hands in a weird position). Hours of comfy gaming on a sick day, here I come! The clamp mechanism on the bottom is nice and strong. The one on the top is good too and even has silicone on the inside to prevent your device from sliding. its super worth it. If you’re between products similar to this, id totally say go with this one.
