A lot of good writing in this book. Simply written, easy to understand. Good for spiritual adherent committed to understanding the way of enlightenment. It has a good energy to it also.

This book is simply that a roadmap from a true Mystic that shares his experience on the spirtiual road. It is not about religion. Dr. Hawkins shows you the pitfalls to avoid such as false spiritual teachers. He does this with the list of qualities of a true spiritual teacher. The list of 100 Spiritual teachers and etc.One practice I found helpful was the list of desirable qualities of the spiritual seeker which he recommended picking one. Then to practice that one with total focus in all areas of life. He never says this is the only way he simply points out what happens on the spiritual path. He warns you of the roads that will take you off the pathway such as if you should get the siddies that they are not you. You are not causing them.They are gifts that come and go from Divinty. Dr. Hawkins writes about watching the spiritual Ego. In my life it has been of tremendous help.There were several things that have happened to me that were unexplainable only to read months later where he describes that experience exactly. It was reassuring to know these things happen to others on the pathway. In my life it has been of tremendous help.A must read for anybody looking to walk the spiritual pathway.

I have rarely read a book that engaged me as completely as this one did. Dr. Hawkins actually shares the step by step process that he has taken in this lifetime to attain EnLIGHTenment and then turns this LIGHT and ENERGY of God-Consciousness that he now embodies into his physical plane "service." It is my belief that many of us have come into this lifetime to "walk the Path" to Soul-Centeredness so that we, too, can join together to serve The Plan for the emergence of the New Heaven and The New Earth at this juncture in history. By using phrases such as "context," Dr. Hawkins helps the reader understand the multi-dimensional frame of reference in which we are to walk that Path toward w/HOLYness. His scientific training, along with his inner attainment allows him to cross into and explore that "frontier" that already exists between (and among) the "worlds." He seems to be in the forefront of the drive that will eventually lead to scientific proof of the Soul's existence and is already exploring how Divine Consciousness can be measured. I am now 70, and for the last 10 years or so have been trying to keep my mind open to the notice meaning in events and outcomes that, to me, are evidence of the presence of God, and of His being with me. I've read other books of this author's and appreciate his way of making me more of a deep thinking person, and of realizing the meaning of what I am experiencing.

I have had a tremendous amount of very good writings in my life to this point. The writings of David Hawkins are the best writings I have ever read.There is a saying that states "when the student is ready, the teacher appears." So with this in mind all of the writings that I have read by other authors in the past were excellent and exactly what I needed at those moments.David Hawkins explains all of the spiritual Concepts that one strives to understand and he explains them all very clearly and very precisely.I just cannot say enough good things about all of the books of David Hawkins. I highly recommend each and every one of them. I also highly recommend all of his lectures.Not only does David Hawkins explain the spiritual Concepts but he explains the science behind them as well.

This book left me breathless on every encounter with it. Author Dr. David R. Hawkins, MD, PHD, writes from what might be considered "centuries old" experience, himself having obliterated a tortured, although financially rich, life history toward Resolution in Enlightenment. If you have read any of the other books by this author, you can tie together dangling threads of confusion into a glorious tapestry of intention, motivation, and (hopefully) devotional non-duality existence. Or, if you have been a Pilgrim on the New Age road for many years, ever-seeking nostrum relief, he has just the Rx of sanity for you, too! Never a dull paragraph; never an impotent thought! Gird up your metaphysical loins for a rocky ride up the sacred mountain of choice.
