These are good brakes for the causal weekend rider on the broad walk or around a country block at a slow speed of 0 mph and 8-10 mph for a few hours at a time. If you need to safely stop quickly responsively and efficiently these will not be good. Not intended for true MTB riding, single track or Commuting. Do not attempt to use these for any Down Hill or Single Track trails or for Commuting. These will wear out before you get to the bottom or before the week is over for Commuting. Great replacement for department store "Big Box" bikes that will be used once in a while on the weekends at a park during the warm weather. If you are selling your Department Store bike and just want new brakes, these will work. Other than that, these are great for the money. I would recommend these only for the above users.
