Update several moths after purchase. Still using the device regularly and everything working fine. My only 'design' suggestion would be to move the activation button lower down the handle so that you can hold it nearer the end (i.e. for a longer reach). Happy zapping! ----- Bought this to dispatch a suddenaccumulation of flies. My old one cost was purchased in Thailand years ago for around £1. This replacement is rather more expensive, but is altogether superior. It certainly does the trick - lots of snap, crackle and pop (with a reassuring electric flash) whenever it catches a fly. The kitchen was cleared during the course of the evening so it's been a good purpose. It's quite light to hold and well balanced and also has a bright light to help you find your prey. My only criticism so far is that the button you have to press to activate the electric grid is fairly high up the handle, so there's no way to utilise the full 'reach' of the handle as your hand needs to be part-way up in order to reach the button. The one inevitable question mark hanging over it is how long it'll last - 2,220V output is pretty heavy duty for an inexpensive retail gadget, but hopefully I'll get a few years of zapping pleasure out of it!

My brother-in-law recommended this after watching me trying to squish a blue bottle with the usual rolled up magazine. While he found my antics hilarious he also advised me of a better and more effective way of zapping the nuisances. Arrived promptly, well packaged and with clear instructions. Looks like a tennis racket and has its own zipped bag to keep it in during the winter months. Charged it via my computer for approx. 4 hours and the light on the handle let me know when it was good to go. It works really well. Have zapped mosquitos, blue bottles and those very annoying flies that like to hover under ceiling lights. There is a definite pop and sizzle when it comes into contact with a fly, along with a burnt smell on occasions although that seems to depend on the size of the body. Have even turned the handle light on in low light and let them come to me (inside only, I don't dislike them that much). Very handy to have and I'm sure we will get a lot of use out of it in the summer months as our doors and windows are often open which unfortunately seems to be an invitation to flying critters. Recommended.

Bought this after seeing a friend use one and very pleased with it. We always seem to get one fly after another when its warm in the kitchen drives you and but this gets rid if them easily. The sound iif gives when you get them is very satisfying !!!

We love campings but the worst things are mosquitoes, flies and wasps, last year there were lots of them so this year we decided to be ready and I ordered Electric Fly Swatter, I must say that I am very impressed about quality, size and that it is rechargeable, I have seen other at shop but they were much smaller, looks cheap and was not rechargeable so I am very happy I decided to get this one. It also came in nice reusable bag so always ready and clean to take it with you. I think it will also be great for home and garden. I tried it already and it make a great job!! I really would like to recommend that😃

You know when you're young and you come up with stupid product ideas, well when I bought this, that is what I thought this would be. Who really needs a rechargeable electronic fly swatter with a light? As it turns out I did. Summer is coming, and now the flies want to stay in my cool flat. They don't do anything, just fly in circles, but they are gross and annoying. They cube every year and I can never get rid of them. One little swat with this bad boy and BYE BYE. Excited to kill more

A quick clean kill, much better than a rolled up newspaper....on the downside, fried flies smell pretty bad.

It broke after 3 days. It’s difficult to swat the flys but aside from that it stopped working after 3 days so I binned it.
