Dalan Antique 100 Percent Olive Oil Soap 5-Pieces Set, 0.91 kg

Wonderful soap. Slight natural citronella scent, big hefty green blocks but once on the skin oh my! Lathers up easily, leaves the skin fresh, clean, moisturised without any 'chemical residue' feeling. Also great for the hair for the exact same reason. My hair feels light, soft, naturally shining again after just 2 washes. It is made of natural substances not things made in a lab! In many things these days, going BACK to the past, to the old ways, is greatly preferable to the 'feel' of the modern. I love this stuff!

I've been using this for a few years now. Tried it initally due to sensitive dry skin and have stuck with it ever since. Lathers up really thick and creamy. I wash my hair with it too. Doesn't make my skin dry or itchy, smells pleasant without smelling of anything. It's very soft, but despite that, it lasts ages. I've tried a few different varieties of this, there's a green one and another that comes in red coloured packaging but this is the one that's the best.

Comes in large bars which, as long as you give them the chance to dry, last a long time. Good value for money. Not high foaming as a natural soap without additives but leaves the skin feeling soft and clean. The scent is a typical Turkish lemony scent. This seems to be cultural and a lot of Turkish products (including the infamous Arko shave soap) have similar scents. It's not strong and to me only adds to the enjoyment of the soap.

I am quite happy with this soap, it is much more natural than the nice smelling ones you buy in the supermarket and I believe it to be much less harmful than those. My skin all over is very dry and I am hoping the olive oil will help with this. It is early days yet, but my hair feels a little less dry. The soap bars are very big and I am cutting them in half so this makes them very good value. They don't go all squishy and horrible after a few washes like most handmade soaps I have bought in the past, and last as long as regular soap. The downside would be the funny smell. It's a bit funky and probably better suited to men than women, but I don't think it lingers like a perfumed soap does and I am quite happy to go to work after showering with it. No-one has commented so far anyway! I would buy this soap again, although I may try others first.

Love this soap. Leaves your skin feeling moisturised. It is a bit more expensive than some soaps on offer but they last for a long time, much longer than your average soap. Will be ordering again.

Back in the day, my mother had a block of green [made from Olives] soap under the sink, she called it "french" soap, and we used it on our laundry and other things, it lasted forever, this is a bit like that only it has a very strong lemony scent that takes a bit of getting used to, as long as you keep it dry, it lasts a long time, i use it to wash my hands and in the shower, much better than modern soap that lasts 5 minutes and is full of nasty chemicals no one needs or asked for. Would buy more 10/10 recommend.

I love this soap! Wanted to get away from strongly perfumed soaps and go for something more natural as I have very dry skin and I’m also mindful of plastics when using shower gel. Anyway long story short. If you are used to the highly perfumed soap you may find the smell a little bit strange, personally I like it (maybe I’m just weird because I also like the smell of coal tar soap). The bars are much bigger than “normal” bath soaps so just cut it in half to make it more manageable. There are 5 bars in the pack and suspect they will last a long time. It does go soft in water but soon dries out, I always put it in a soap dish after use. Today I used it on my hair as OH has put the normal shampoo I use somewhere (don’t ask, I’ve no idea why either). Anyway, couldn’t be bothered getting out of the bath to go hunting so I thought, what the hell, I’m not going out anyway, won’t be bothering looking for shampoo now, my hair feels silky soft (I do have very short hair so can’t say what it would be like on longer hair). All in all love this weird looking bar of soap. We are hopefully going to Turkey in September so will be on the hunt to bring a stash home.

After bar 1 we tried cutting these in half because they are so unwieldy to use. They also have a slightly "unusual" aroma to them, which we're slowly getting used. But these seem fairly mild on the skin and they get you clean. I don't find they suds up as much as other soaps.

Fast delivery. Very good product, works great with skin problems especially acne, cleanses the face well, does not dry it out. Gonna buy again.

A wonderful old-fashioned soap. Lightly scented. Slightly earthy, slightly sweet. Quite unique and lovely. We've been using it in the shower daily for years and we both still have effectively functional skin on our bodies. May not suit drier skin types.
