I am collecting a Buffalo, the Wildcat, a Hellcat and finally the Bearcat. Together they will reflect that evolution is real. At least for military aircraft.

This is a really basic kit. If you're looking for a superdetailed cockpit - or even a cockpit - this model doesn't have one. It's a seat you glue a pilot into and a stick. Now, admittedly it's a tiny cockpit and a non-opening canopy so you can't see anything, so it's hard to tell a difference. If you want to use aftermarket, you've got plenty of room.Overall, though? If you want a fun, simple kit? This works. Its fit is beautiful. If you put the landing gear up (since you really have to use the pilot,) it provides a stand. And it looks like a wildcat. This can be knocked out in a weekend - it's this sort of kit that got me into modeling long ago. Easily affordable, quick to build and fun.

The pieces fit together well and produce a fine model for what it cost. Use an airbrush for painting and you will have an authentic reproduction of the real Wildcat.

On the product description it says it 1/48 scale but when I received the kit it’s 1/72

Delivery was quick but I neglected to check the size of the model before ordering.I have difficulty handling very small pieces and this plane kit was too small for me to complete.I usually work with a little bit larger models.

Decent outlines, with engraved panel lines. A decent engine for this scale, but the cockpit is was too basic, even for 1/72. Built into a nice representation, but don't expect a high end kit.

Nice kit. The price is low but the quality is higher. Not the best but will build into a nice example.
