Smells fantastic and refreshing perfect for the home
I used this cedar oil in our essential oil diffuser and it smells super refreshing and light. I like to mix in spearmint or eucalyptus as well as sweet orange for a really grounded delicious home scent. I will also be using it to treat our cedar closet and cedar sauna.Love the large container of it since I use it daily in my waterless diffuser. Also, I am extremely sensitive to smells, and this does not give me a headache or any type of adverse reactions.

Brought an old chest back to life!
It’s by far the easiest way to renew old cedar.

How to open the can
Have not yet opened. This review is merely to aid others. I suggest that the vendor improve their pkg labeling. That info would probably save customers some wounds received after they tried various methods involving trying to insert a knife or screwdriver tip and apply pressure, causing a slip. Movement will be down towards the hand/wrist holding the can. Another reviewer ("mixed results") mentioned the solution. I'm just trying to promote their solution. Plz upvote either their or my or both answers. Can is plugged with a metal insert in the spout. To remove it, use a hammer and narrow screwdriver or awl to punch a hole into the insert. Then, holding the can tightly, use screwdriver to pry the insert out. Not knowing how long it will be between uses, I covered the hole in the insert with electrical tape, and tapped it back into place. Don't open this can with it in your hand, or over something hard to clean up if there's a spill. Wipe metal spout off before resealing so it is easy to unscrew cap a year later.

Nice woodsy smell
Have ordered multiple times for use in both diffusers. Great smell that does not appear to bother the cats. Only thing I'm not fond of is the cans are a bear to open. But at least leakage during shipment is not a problem.

Best cedar I’ve used since Home Depot stopped carrying it
Frikkin amazing aromatic as can be kills moth and larvae and repels a number of pests that it will kill if they get too close, be careful around pets and anything you don’t wish to smell fabulous for a long long time with this stuff although it is pure, and it is near imperative to mix it with something if you plan to use it for a soap or cream or my favorite use, beard balm when I make it at home. If you’ve ever made it you know why it’s so expensive all the ingredients when quality are high but my beard balm is the best and I use this around the holidays to keep my beard smelling like Christmas and the evergreen New England forest on a cold winter morning, squinting beyond the blowing white powdery snow off the dark green abundant needles all around as you tromp through yesterdays foot of snow in your favorite fuzzy boots and toboggan hat, that’s how it smells. My beard is grateful and so are any people who walk by and catch a scent of it. Some folks don’t like it. But then I don’t like that powdery dollar store alcohol diluted baby poop perfume that they wear either lol

Pleasant Surprise
I just wanted the smell of cedar wood and decided to apply it to a small cedar board that I've had for some time. When I opened the can and applied it with a brush to the board, I wondered where the smell cedar was in the product. Well, if you wait about 24 hours, you WILL smell the cedar and its quite good. My board is rough cut which gives the cedar oil more surface to soak into. The board is going to be my "bottle" of air freshener in my den. If the smell of cedar wanes after a while, I will apply more oil to the board. I think that this might be a better idea that diluting the oil with some sort of "carrier" like unscented castile soap and then putting it in a spray bottle in order to produce the smell in a room --- I believe my method will produce a much more lasting scent. This product should work well to restore the smell in a cedar chest.

Disappointed - no smell
It barely smells like anything. I soaked some cedar hanger rings and other assorted cedar things in this oil, and they smell LESS like cedar than they did before. Pretty disappointed. Will stick to just sanding next time, maybe try another brand because this could just be baby oil for all I know.
