(Big Note Songbook). 9 simplified piano arrangements from this hit Disney film, plus full-color illustrations from the movie. Songs include the standout single "Let It Go," plus: Do You Want to Build a Snowman? * Fixer Upper * For the First Time in Forever * For the First Time in Forever (Reprise) * Frozen Heart * In Summer * Love Is an Open Door * Reindeer(s) Are Better Than People. It's fairly easy to pick up most of the songs here and my kids like to listen. The one caveat is that they are in a different key, so they do sound a bit different than the originals. I originally bought the other Frozen piano book that looks like this one and it was too difficult for me. However, I have been able to reference the songs in those books (in the original key) to add notes or fill out the sound in the easier versions.

Wonderful book for a beginner
My daughter loves this book. So far she's learned "Let It Go" and "Love is an Open Door." Allowing her to learn songs that she loves keeps her motivated. She doesn't mind that the music sounds a bit different from the actual movie because the songs sound close enough, and she understands that there can be different variations of the same songs. I read other reviewers say that someone with about 3 years of experience can play the music comfortably, but my daughter is only *almost* 5 years old with 11 months of lessons, so I'm not really sure what level Big Note books are intended for. Perhaps she just has a knack for piano, but I think this book works well for a beginner.

Good simple version
My son begged me to get the music even though I told him it was too hard. He wanted to play Frozen Heart. He is six and has only been taking for ten months. I bought it and showed his teacher and she said he could do it for a recital if he practiced hard. She said it was way above his level but she knew he could do it because he practices hard. It has been about a month and a half and he just about has it down. It took a lot if practice with either me or my husband sitting by him each time. I wouldn't recommend it with less than a year of piano unless you want to spend a lot of time practicing. It is probably good for three years experience. It doesn't sound exactly like the movie but that is expected for something simplified.

All the songs in the movie in one book!
This book can be played by pianists who have had 3 or more years of lessons. Because it is written with big notes, some of the notes in a chord have been taken out. The songs sound a little "thin" because of that. However, the young students really enjoy playing the songs because they know them so very well. This is a great collection of all of the songs from the movie.

Kindle edition is very hard to read
This is for the kindle edition. I guess they still haven't figured out how to put music on a tablet yet, because this book is unreadable using Kindle. On the nice big screen of my iPad, I get a very small image of the music centered with 1-2 inches of margin all around it. Now my eyes are better than 20/20, and unless I hold the thing about a foot from my face, there's no way I'd be able to read it while playing.

Don't Let it Go... buy it!
My daughter is working on "Let it Go." She has been playing piano for ten months, so this is easy enough for a relative beginner, but sophisticated enough for her to feel like she's playing something advanced. She loves it. Another bonus- hearing the piano version of "Let it Go" is slightly less irritating than hearing people sing it. ;)

Beautiful book, great big notes, but SADLY THIS IS NOT for beginners
Wish this had some easier versions of the songs for some of my youngest students who would love to play the melodies. It is a disappointment to get this great book and find it is not for beginner pianists. Why do the big note songbook without beginner arrangements??!! I am doing a duet with my student on the easiest song in here (reindeers song). That's the best I could offer her.

Excellent, as described. the music is pretty easy to play so don't expect anything too interesting

Great for a newer piano player
Perfect - My 7 year old, who has been playing for about a year, finds this inspiring to play and just challenging enough to keep learning from. Her piano teacher was very impressed by the arrangements.
