Very tender, mildly fishy
I like calf's liver, and decided to try some Riga Gold Cod liver and quite enjoyed it, so I figured I'd try a different brand. It's very good - not as fishy as I expected, it tastes more of shellfish, but it is extremely tender - like a fish without any grain or flake. I eat it straight from the can and use some high quality white bread to soak up the remaining cod liver oil. I always have the whole can at once, which is a total of 450 calories. I regularly have tuna, octopus, sardines, and mackerel for my supper, and this makes a welcome addition. The FDA says you can only have one can a week, due to the copper content, but it's so rich that one is probably enough. In comparison with the Riga Gold - the flavor and quality is the same, though this seems to have a bit less liver, and substantially more oil. I'm not sure. There's a curiosity where both Threeline and Riga weigh in at about 4.3oz, but the Threeline cod's liver has 3x 150 calorie servings, whereas the Riga has 2x 300 calorie servings, leaving a 150 calorie discrepancy despite their equal weight. Since the Threeline has more oil, I'd assume if anything that it would be higher calorie content, but maybe it's the other way around. Anyway, I would definitely recommend this, either for those who like cod liver or enjoy tinned fish in general. I ordered this dozen cans and I'll be ordering more when I run out.

I believe this is a natural way to boost Vitamin D and Vitamin A during Flu Season
I swore off vaccines for nearly 15 years and never get sick, eating Cod Liver once a week during the winter months. I also got a SPERTI Sun Lamp to help boost Vitamin D during the Winter. I take 5000 iu Vitamin D3 and K2 to balance the calcium, too. What a difference the Cod Liver has made to my skin, too. I look ten years younger, eating a variety of sea foods, which contain minerals from the ocean. I eat KRILL rich in DHA and phospholipids, Sardines, rich in omega-3, Wild caught Salmon, Oyster and Clam soup, Mussels from Galicia, Spain and Squid, sometimes Octopus, Shrimp, and Salmon roe. I eat seafood three days a week, and I fast for three days. I also eat plenty of beef, goat cheese, and eggs along with the seafood tapas dishes. This is my Bow-Tie diet, Yin and Yang, the Yo-Yo diet for longevity. The secret to longevity is the minerals of seafood---and c15, and MCT in goat cheese---and sheep yogurt---and feasting on Beef which is nutrient dense, with L-carnitine, L-Leucine, and rich in stearic acid and tallow.

nice
12x3 it was would've been 5 stars if the can wasn't 4/8 - 5/8th full or 4/8 oil...yet tasty!!!

Outstanding product
These are excellent. There are a couple interesting things to note. First, they are approximately the same weight as a can of sardines, but the tin says two servings per can. They have about the same protein content as sardines per can, 15 grams, but they have much more fat - 31 grams as opposed to around 11 for sardines. Part of the reason for the high fat reading may be the large amount of cod liver oil in the can; several tablespoons of lovely, clear oil. There was so much oil that I felt guilty discarding it after eating the livers. Opening the can is a pleasure - two pink, meaty livers, freshly preserved in the oil. Pleasant mild taste. The texture was just like pate, but I could also see the butter comparison. Recommend!

Surprisingly delicious and unsurprisingly very healthy
I tried these in my Tinned Fish Club monthly subscription box and instantly fell in love, so of course I had to order more. They're very soft and oily, obviously, so I wouldn't eat them plain, but I absolutely love them on sourdough toast with microgreens and lemon. One of my favorite breakfast foods, definitely better than avocado toast. If you're on the fence about trying them, definitely do.
