Does the new version support Promethean touch connections like the old version?

Will these devices connect an older dot matrix printer to a newer computer?

That depends on the interface the dot matrix printer supports, if it's an Ethernet interface no, if it's a centronics cable interface no, if it's a parallel port interface no, if it's a rs-232 or 422 or 485 interface no, if it is a USB interface then yes with the correct remote end mated to this head-end running across a category 3 grade and higher, this item noted here on Amazon is just the end that would plug into the host PC's USB port, you need the extension to the printer( ie Cat5 patch cord) then the cables to go remote USB end this item, C2G 29342 USB 1.1 Over CAt5 Wall Plate or similar found on Amazon.
