To start with, any treats which we are going to offer to our K9 family members, have to meet these standards; 1. Must be made and packaged in the USA.2. Made with Chicken as their primary ingredient3. No artificial preservatives or product coloring4. Offer health benefits beyond being a treat and Nudges Jerky treats offer Glucosamine and other products to help make them a healthy and beneficial offering, not just something to fill them up.5. They have to offer nutrition, and not just be a "filler" as many treats are.My K9 kids have been Nudge connoisseurs for many years. We have noticed that while our dogs often go hot and cold on various treats, Nudge jerky cut Chicken treats are one of the few K9 treats they ALWAYS like.Our dogs prefer the Nudges made with Chicken over those which contain Duck. They also like this specific Nudge product Jerky cut, specifically made with chicken. We have tried other Nudge cuts and flavors and the response just isn't the same. They will generally "take" the other treat, but you can instantly tell the treats they desire verses those which they accept, simply because its being offered to them.There are many treats we have tried over the years which they will not take even when directly offered to them. Yes, my dogs are very picky. Please note, our dogs preference for these Nudge treats doesn't mean the other Nudge treats are inferior or there is anything wrong with them. Just as people have preferences, so do our K9 family members and this product is at the top of their preferred treat list.They sniff and check out what is offered to them and with the Nudges Chicken Jerky treats, they always simply take the treat instantly and begin eating it in an orderly fashion so they enjoy it. Others, they "consider" the treats and some they will take and then drop and ignore while there are even many popular brand name treats which they won't even take when offered to them.Our Amazon account shows we have ordered this specific size and flavor Nudge product in the "Jerky Cuts" of the chicken over 80 times over the last several years, so obviously its a consistent and perennial favorite. Also, the 40 oz size package is by far the best value in the Nudge product offerings. We never have to worry about the Nudges going to waste or our K9 kids refusing to enjoy them. Nudge chicken jerky cut treats never lay around in our home.Always fresh and well received, Nudges are one of the cornerstone treats which we provide to our K9 kids. Nudges are not a low cost treat, but its a high quality treat which never disappoints.We did have one bag of Nudges last year which the product appeared to have not been sealed correctly or somewhere in the process, the bags seal was breached. Those Nudges didn't appear or smell the same. I contacted the company and they instantly sent a replacement bag of the same nudges and even followed up to make sure we had gotten the replacement product and were satisfied, which we were. Its nice to see the customer support when needed.That was the only time in the many years our kids have been eating Nudges which the product wasn't 100% and we weren't going to provide it to our dogs. The company genuinely apologized and promptly sent the replacement product and resolved the problem with that one package. What more can a customer ask for?I have to be honest, the Chicken Jerky cuts look and smell good, so I tried a bite of one. It tastes like Jerky, just less dense and not as "tough" as beef jerky I have eaten in the past, which was made for human consumption, etc. I had to be careful though, I didn't want my dogs to think they have internal competition for their treats, so I will likely leave the consumption of all future Nudges to them.......They certainly like and prefer them...........and we appreciate knowing the product is made in the USA and backed by customer service when needed.Nudges are on our "auto order" system for regular delivery every 21 days and will likely continue to be. I don't want to endure the refusal of the other treats because Nudge Chicken Jerky treats aren't available. Our dogs know what they like and want, and Nudges are clearly one of their preferred treats and have been for years.

I am a long-time buyer of Nudges Jerky Treats, and my dogs love them! For the first (and hopefully only) time the treats seemed dried out and less then fresh. I checked the date on the package, and it was not old or out-of-date stock. Because this has been my single unhappy experience with this product, I gave it an over-all rating of four stars. I realize that no company or product can be 100% perfect 100% of the time, and so I will definitely order it again, and hope for a better outcome.

Nudges Chicken Dog Treats come in a large package for a fair price. My dogs were used to beef flavored treats but when we couldn't find them, we decided to try these. I have a chow chow and coon hound dog dogs. They love these treats and seem not to miss the beef treats. I think that there is a lot of value in these treats and most dogs will love them. They are the size of beef jerky and a little thicker. Try them.... I don't think you will be disappointed.

The most important thing is that this chicken jerky is very soft, so it won't get stuck in ur oups throat, or a hard time coming out the other end.
