Great keyboard, but switches started to wear out after only 2.5 years.
I bought this keyboard in March of 2016 and found it excellent in pretty much every regard. It fit perfectly on the keyboard tray of my desk while leaving plenty of room for mouse movement thanks to the tenkeyless (TKL) form factor, the brown switches provided a good balance between typing performance and gaming performance as I had read they did and the software was easy enough to use to customize the backlighting of the keyboard.I'm a relatively basic user and don't need infinite customization options, so while I had mistakenly thought this keyboard had per-key colorization options and was initially annoyed by my mistake, this ended up being a relative non-issue. I would have liked to have been able to set the WASD, as well as the other letters, number and symbol keys to different colors to help identify them visually without having to fully divert my eyes from the screen, but wasn't interested in paying the return shipping and difference in price to upgrade to a similar model with that feature after realizing my mistake. My main complaint with this keyboard and the reason for the average/negative review is that the mechanical switches, purported to be more durable and longer lasting than membrane keyboards, started to wear out after only 2.5 years, the B and N keys having stopped working about a week or two ago. I have several membrane keyboards from Logitech that are much older than this one and still work perfectly, which I only ditched due to space constraints and for the backlighting feature offered by this keyboard. I contacted Rosewill support and they said that it was out of warranty and did not offer repair options, despite the fact that it's supposedly a fairly trivial process to replace the switches. The only reason I didn't do so myself is because I don't already know how to solder and have enough other concerns that the cost of buying the equipment and replacement switches, time to perform the repair and possibility of messing up and having to buy a new keyboard anyway made it an unappealing option to me.If Rosewill had offered an out-of-warranty repair service for a price reasonably less than that of an entirely new keyboard, I would have happily gone that route, but not only do they not have such a service, they no longer offer a comparable tenkeyless model with brown switches at all. Ultimately I chose to replace this keyboard with a HyperX Alloy FPS Pro model, which is currently available at an even better price point in the TKL form factor, although it lacks the RGB LEDs that this model has (fixed red backlighting) and only comes in a choice of red or blue switches (I went with the red switches for the comparably quiet action).

Great keyboard, meh software
Seems like great quality. Very bright, crisp lettering - I like the backlighting better than my Cyborg V5.0. But, the software seems a bit sketchy. I wasn't able to figure out how to program different color schemes without disabling the built in ones, but I've only used it a couple of times when visiting my parents. I got it for my mom's desk because she has a small keyboard and mouse tray and a full-size keyboard meant the mouse could only be used from on top of the desk. This is perfect for leaving enough space for both on the tray. I would definitely consider getting a version of this with the number pad when I need a new keyboard. The quality seems solid and the built-in color schemes would be adequate.Edit: As I've seen in reviews on other sites, there is very little tactile feel with these brown switches. But, that wasn't too important to me. I only took one star off for the software. It's slow to save profiles, somewhat unintuitive, and can't yet do everything they claim it will with future updates.

Better than Razer and Quickfire
This is a very important message to all the people getting a mechanical keyboard, i know you are looking over and over at the RAZER brand and the QUICKFIRE, but im telling i have done the homework for you people , get the ROSEWILL, is the only one that can change colors if you get bored of the RED on the Quickfire , or the green on the RAZER, i had the razer and returned it , i just too clicky for me (green switches), it gets on your nerves really fast , i got the cherry BROWN , but with 5 settings of change colors on the fly , im a happy camper , thanksAND YES THE PICTURES DONT DO JUSTICE BUT ON HIGH SETTINGS THIS THING WILL BLIND YOU, BUT ISNT THAT WHAT WE WANT? , WE WANT THE POLICE CALLED ON US BECAUSE THE NEIGHBOR THINK WE ARE HAVING A RAVE PARTYUPDATE: i removed 2 stars , 2 STARS !!! because i use it for programming and Rosewill have the layout of the special character parallel to each other instead of one below the other like a normal keyboard for better understanding when using the SHIFT keyyes , yes it is that important to me

This keyboard looks nice, and it's built like a rock
This keyboard looks nice, and it's built like a rock. I've had it for a few months and love it. The cord can be detached, which is awesome, because this keyboard feels indestructible and I always break the cords on my electronics XD It'd be a shame to waste such a great keyboard if I accidentally broke the cord. Another nice thing, the transparent keys can be removed and replaced with ordinary led letter keys if you want, to make them match the rest of the keyboard. (The extra keys ship with it) And a third nice thing, the color changing software they ship with it is easy to use. There are two problems, though. First, if you make the LED white, it is slightly yellow tinged. I didn't have a problem with this since my rig is green-led (and as a result I didn't detract a star), but I mention it in case you want a pure white rig.Second, for some reason the 9 key sometimes has double presses. Just that key though. I'm not sure why.

I've had this keyboard for about a month now and I have no complaints as of yet. The only con I would say pertains to the software and not the keyboard. The keyboard requires software to change some aspects of the illumination. This software is a little clunky, so to speak - but it does it's job. Can't really complain. This is my fourth mechanical keyboard and I would say that it is most certainly on par with the others I've purchased (Razer Blackwidow, Rosewill RK, Steelseries 6Gv2). The illumination is very nice at night and can be seen quite clearly during the day.All-in-all, this is a quality keyboard and I am very happy with my purchase.

Good Keyboard but software is lacking
The Keyboard is all right, I put sound dampeners on so the keys are pretty quiet.Like many other reviewers mentioned, the software is lacking and the updates on the colors promised by Rosewill are still "in development".

The keyboard itself is great. Maybe it varies from keyboard to keyboard and pc to pc, but I cant adjust the colors on my keyboard.
