Unreliable Apple AirPlay implementation. You'll end up buying a cable to jack in instead.The Libratone app from Apple's App Store is equally unusable, designed by a clueless print-designer, and more about marketing its newest speakers, than helping you get the most out of your purchase.

This is a great stand alone unit with decent sound. The latest version of loop last I checked (mid 2015 - Bluetooth options being the main difference from the previous version). Various modes of input - 3.5mm auxillary, Bluetooth 4.0, USB and Apple Airplay. Spotify Connect works very well too. I have been using my old Ipad 2 as a dedicated streamer to stream music from Amazing Prime and Google. Airplay setup is easy through the iOS if you have the cable handy. I believe this speaker is also DLNA compatible but I have not tested that feature.I have it setup on a wall in my guest room (comes with both a table stand and a wall hook). You can control the sound settings using the iOS or Android apps. I do not know how to describe speaker sound in technical terms but so far I like what I hear from this good looking speaker. The closest in comparison I have to this is my old Bose Wave radio. Overall, I like the loop based on both sound and features. As you may have guessed, you probably wouldn't want to replace your dedicated stereo systems with this. Nevertheless, the sound is great and definitely packs a punch (just as a reference, my main system is a set of JBL L830s powered by a Yamaha RX-797. I also use a pair of the Micca MB42X speakers at my desk). I received a free cover from Libratone when I registered the product on their site. Not sure if the offer is still available. This is (was at least before Google introduced "Chromecast Audio") a great option if you like to stream music/audio wirelessly but do not want to go down the Bluetooth streaming route. But if you do want to use the Bluetooth streaming, that's an option too.

Gorgeous design... perfect fit for my Polk sound bar as a Bluetooth transmitter. It's a wonderful item!

This speakphone keep high fidelity no matter what kinf of music you play and give a simple but defined style to any room. Really cool!
