I had to buy a second hourglass as the first one cracked because I applied too much pressure when I clamped the wooden frame I made for it. Lesson learned and I left more room the second "time" around. Very impressed with the packaging as the glass arrived safely. I recommend this hourglass but be aware just how fragile they are.

This is beautiful. Arrived well packed and perfect, no cracks etc, I ordered 10 minute white sand. I'll have it on my desk to time short study snaps. Better than using a clock or phone alarm for dyslexic folk. Adds a nice physical visual textural touch to timing/learning. I timed it.. the sand is 10 minutes 11 seconds.. close enough for me. I may buy the 15 and 30 minute one too. And really great to use in mindfulness practise for my clients, especially using the hourglass technique... as both a timing and visual tool.

I can't testify as to the accuracy of this sand timer as I bought it as an item of decor. But as such it is great - quirky and bright. It came well packaged, surrounded with styrofoam to prevent breakage in transit, which is good because it is very thin at the neck. But it stands sturdily and looks very fine.

It's nice but not 5 minutes, 4 minutes 30 seconds so completely useless to me.

Nice enough large sand hourglass, but I ordered red sand and it was orange. It’s a gift for a friend who loves red.

I thought it would be bigger, but I still loved it. Gorgeous pink colour.
